Bottle from Trader Joes. Oily hop character up front. Some sweetness and some tropical notes. Moderate skunk just underneath the surface. Very flavorful. Some sweetness, but stops short of being cloying. Very drinkable. Solid IPA.

Bottle. Nose spills heavy pine, pith, resin, big melon right out of the bottle neck; orange, tangerine, grapefruit and getting into subtle lychee and stronger passionfruit. Pour clear deep golden, little undertones of orange and brown but really rich gold; avg carbonation and a soapy off-white head. Taste strongly bitter with light sweetness that dries quickly and light tartness that doesnt go anywhere. Tropical fruit stronger here, a touch of bread in the mid-palate but only fleetingly; medium body is oily, soapy and stripping, very highly resinous, good "miscellaneous wood" in addition to pine. Fresh, clean, but not crisp. Flabby mild malt, which is one of the few complaints here, and the citrus/fruit wears a bit with volume. [2017.03.25: 3.5]

Bottle-best by July 17 Pours bright orange hue with a nice soapy white head and great lacing. Looks fantastic. Nose is bready, slightly herbal, good pale malt base and lots of floral hops. This maybe a tad old but it is very bready in the malt profile both on the nose and flavors. Doesnt really taste oxidized just much more mellow than what is expected from the description. with that said, the QC at GF seems to be really lacking since they got much bigger a few years ago. Solid nonetheless but not the hop bomb i was expecting.

12 oz. bottle best by Aug. 2nd 2017. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head that fades to a film and lacing. Aroma is sweet and bitter, pine citrus light caramel. Taste is more bitterness with a well balanced malt sweet and bitter some faint arm pit cat pee. Its so well balanced. Palate is clean medium slightly dry. Very good.

On draft. This is a really well made West Coast IPA, with a clean malt backbone and a nice, lingering hoppy bitter bite. The Citra and Mosaic hops come through as well to give it some additional citrus/tropical aroma, which elevates things to another level. An excellent IPA.

Dark golden to light amber in color. Diminishing light beige head. Aromas are sweet with tropical to berry fruit. Light caramel and hints of pale malt. Initial malt burst quickly masked by citric to tropical fruit. Some earthy malts work their way in and out. Rather acidic.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear golden appearance with a fluffy white head. Hop forward aroma of citrus zest, earth, floral notes and light pine with lightly toasted grains. Similar flavor, adding light tropical notes, a touch of hop resin, moderate bitterness and a light malt sweetness. Medium body with a clean feel and a dank, dry finish. Nice.
