6/14/08 On draught at the Washington Brewers Festival. Aroma is sweet malt forward with a low rost note. Appearance is clear copper with a medium maintained white head. Flavor is malt forward, munich roasty, with a moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a low carb texture. Overall, easy drinking and refreshing for a full flavored beer. bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - JUN 15, 2008

Amber in color with a thin head. Had a very malty presence but felt like it was a lighter beer. Not as malty and with flavor as I would expect Very light in the hops. Not bad but hard to say it was a Marzen.
On tap. Red crimson body with minimal head. Aroma was lightly hoppy with sugar notes. Light sweetness with a touch of citrus. Pretty basic easy drinker. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 13, 2006
Dark amber with little head. Slight hop aroma. Very refreshing summer beer...subtle roasted malts. On tap at ? I don’t freaking remember. natrat (66) - Ucluelet, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 4, 2005
On tap at the GCBF. Deep copper colour with a thick and white head. Great aroma made me do a double take. Smelled it again. Bliss. Taste was all I could want from a Marzen. I wish I brewed this beer. Malt profile had several distinct flavours rolling around my tongue, and hopping was nice, not overwhelming. A great example of the style, and for me, best of show at GCBF 2005. frink (467) - coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 24, 2005
GCBF. Pours a dark honey colour with no head. Slightly malty aroma. The taste is malty, caramel, metalic and average. Oakes (17815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 5, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2015 Draught at the brewery. Golden-amber. Sweetish with a touch of caramel. Moderate balancing bitterness. Smooth, refined among American examples.
