Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Sweetish malty grainy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty grainy and bready caramel flavor. Malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. mcberko (17830) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 12, 2016
On tap at Alpine, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out chestnuts and some strange vegetal herbal notes. Flavour matches this, with some weird fruity vegetal notes and toasted chestnuts. Has the same vegetal finish. Seems a bit off. Oakes (17676) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 5, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2015 Draught at the brewery. Golden-amber. Sweetish with a touch of caramel. Moderate balancing bitterness. Smooth, refined among American examples. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUL 18, 2009
Draft at Naked City. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with bright garnet overtones and a thing disc of tan cream on top that doesn’t really hang around for very long. Not much lace. Nice caramel apple nose--doesn’t smell like acetaldehyde, smells like a nice red apple type of yeast and some doughy malts. Creamyish lightish body--a little thick, but definitely not anything to make an ice cream float with or anything. That caramel apple thing comes back for the mid-palate, not much carb, and a sweet finish. Solid, drinkable, no real flaws. A little on the polite side, a little on the sweet side, but a nice beer. Some malts but otherwise a plain aroma. This is a bit sweet but also malty and yet still plain. Not that great. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2007

Amber in color with a thin head. Had a very malty presence but felt like it was a lighter beer. Not as malty and with flavor as I would expect Very light in the hops. Not bad but hard to say it was a Marzen.
(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 8th, 2007. Lively carbonation. Deep orange body with a lasting white frothy head. Decent Bazooka Joe powdered gum and mild spicy finish. Good. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 13, 2007
