Biscuit malt mixes nicely with moderate caramel and brown sugar. More than your-average-Oktoberfest’s hop finish, but still on with the style. Very solid and enjoyable. Crit (3996) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 21, 2007
Amber with small beige head. Candy floss nose.Light smooth sweet malt profile, lightly blended hops andrewje41 (3880) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - SEP 25, 2014
Draft pour at 192. Pours a thin orange with no head. Kind of an over sweet aroma. Sweet bready malt flavor with a sugary finish. Overall, it’s a super easy drinking beer. On the sweet end for me, but definitely not a deal breaker. Enjoyed this for sure. luttonm (6271) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 12, 2016
Chuck’s 85th, Seattle. Rather clear dark orange, white thin foam. Eggy, bitter lager aroma. Alright sip, bitter finish to a balanced sweet malt bill. Ok spicy body. Not bad. BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 26, 2007
Bottle. Darker amber nearing brown with minimal head. Malty, slightly sweet with a nice light hopy balance. Aroma was malty and sugary. Decent palate is rich.

Pours a caramel brown with a nice off-white head. The aroma is lemony, some caramel and just a hint of orange peel and plenty of bready yeast. The flavor is doughy, gently sweet, a bit hollow (again, that funny "forgot-to-put-salt-in-the-pasta-water" taste -- how should I be describing this?), crisply bitter on the finish but with a rather unpleasant vegetal twist.
This is just fine as accompaniment to dinner tonight but I doubt that I would seek it out again.
Bomber courtesy of Pitonka 5000. Pours copper with almost no carbonation and some thin white bubbles. Smells of caramel, some pepper, some earthiness, hints of pepper. Tastes sweet and malty with some toffee and caramel dominating. Decent. Hooker (467) - Coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 20, 2005
Clear amber colour. small head that fades quickly. light malty nose. mild carmel malt taste with slight hop finish. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 27, 2007
@GCBF-on tap-pours a thin white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-fruit. Taste is medium malt-caramel, fruit, secondary hops bite. OK carbonation. Liked less as it went along. killjoy966 (677) - Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2011
Pint @ 74th St. Ale House. Tastes OK I suppose. Rather thin and not really much to it. Paled in comparison to the Snoqualmie Oktoberfest I had right after this. Golden color with very little aroma. My beer needs more body!
