Pours deep gold with a diminishing white head. Aroma is quite nice, with apple, floral notes, toasty grain - really excellent balance. Taste is quite malty-sweet up front, medium-light body making it easy to have another sip. Light bitterness balances everything out. I thought this beer was really exceptional!

Fizzy pour. Rich golden colour. Very brite and bubbly. Rich bread aroma. White foam dissipates quite quickly to a thin lacy head. Immediate honey, light syrup flavour. Delicate bitter aftertaste. Soft and smooth in mouth despite initial vigorous appearance. Could easily have enjoyed a lot of this, but made content with the 33cl (bottle).

33cl bottle from Famila in Westerland. Smooth malty beginning. Nice and typical. Round and fresh with a smooth malt body. Hints of caramel, not much grain. Very soft and round. Moderate bitter in the aftertaste. Extremely round and "worthy" body. Not too sweetish, dry malty ending. Great!

33cl Bottle bought in Kehl. Golden colored with little head. Malty, quite sweet, it has a slight taste of honey which I appreciate a lot. You can feel the enjoyable hoppy flavor in the background. I really like it ! A powerful and tasty!

33cl Flip-top bottle: BBD 20 Mar 2014, poured into a tumbler on my hotel room pation on 15 Sep 2013. I’d brought this over the Alps with me to Ste Maxime because I knew how expensive beer was in the South of France. Lovely golden body with a fine white covering for a head. Slight malt sweetness in both the nose and taste: I really liked this brew. There was a nice blend of herbal hop notes and caramel/malty molasses which married together very well: soft bodied and far to easy to drink. I didn’t even notice it was a Marzen when I bought it on the way down in Bad Krozingen, otherwise I might have found room for more.

Riktigt trevlig.

Bottle with a cool flip top, lets open the beer from the Black Forest. On pour got a lovely crystal clear golden colour and a nice white head that appeared. Nice bit of carbo, bubbling away. Head does thin out but maintains and the colour does fade a little, not as sparkling on pour. Got a lovely initial smell of malts, all really pleasant on the nose but faint. But I also detected some hot spicy aromas which was interesting! Nice big mouthfuls. Tasted wheat, grain, malts, altogether not a bad taste at all and very smooth. Very smooth, must be the good waters from the streams near the Black Forest, I guess! Good creamy mouthfuls, soft on the tongue. A Good beer that was lovely and smooth. Not particularly hoppy, to me at least. Easy to drink, refreshing, and very well balanced. It is not going to set the world alight, but I liked it.
