2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: citric, weakly yeasty, bread
Appearance: pale, healthy clear urine color
Taste: medium sweet, slightly bitter, slightly sour
Palate: abrupt finish, soft carbonation
Too sweet and citric for the style, conforms to the other beers of the brewery

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a tasty pils w/ an old timey label featuring a monk. This means it is everything you want in a pilsner minus drinking it by the mass in a springtime biergarten. This pours a perfectly clear golden color with a nice looking but relatively short lived head of mixed bubbles. The nose doesn’t really impress me that much, just a bit of yeast dough and and some herbal hops but this is an exceptionally crisp and drinkable beer regardless. It’s dry but still has a soft malt presence which is emphasized by gentle carbonation and it finishes clean on the tongue w/ some lingering bitterness and a touch of lemon zest. As it warms, a bit of sweetness develops and it takes on a mouth-filling quality while still staying nice and light on the palate. This is really a great example of a difficult style to nail. Find some time to enjoy one if you like beer.

Bottle from pivnizub, many thanks. Light golden color with medium white head. Strong malty aroma with bitter hops. Malty taste followed by hoppy bitterness. Dry hoppy bitter finish. OK, standard Gernan Pils.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bubbly crystal clear pale golden colour with a nice head. Smell is herbs, slight pine, and slight sulphur/minerals. The flavor is very solid for a pils, this is a newly-imported beer and has flavors of mineral, grass, herbs, and bread. It is nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap @ Stadthotel Weinsberg, Stuttgart, 14/11/13. Pours a clear gold with a large and thick, white head. Aroma is grain with light grass. Taste is strong with pale malts, graininess being very strong. Decent amount of grass on the finish. Good carbonation, fairly medium in the mouth. Good.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(on tap) Bright golden color, persistent white head, clear and shiny. Looks quite appealing - even though it is so pale one could think it would be on the thin side (which is not the case). The aroma is dominated by the hops, mainly of the grassy kind. Yummy! Some white bread is there as well, but very much in the background. The aroma is not very intense, but absolutely appropriate for a Pilsener. After a while the hop aroma builds up on the palate and stays there after the last drop is swallowed. This is a must for a fine pilsener, in my opinion. This one is definitely spot-on. The bitterness is less stronger than I would expect from a Pilsener - but then again this is a South German example, so that’s ok. Medium carbonation, smooth mouthfeel, pleasant to drink. I’d love to have it again.
