RB Germany #300: 50 cL bottle, bought in Madrid. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and an off-white lacing head. Roasted malty aroma. Flavour is breadish and mild roasted malt with a mild note of chocolate too. Finish is lingering bitter with a slight roasted note.

Ungstrup (37937) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2008
Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor has notes of dusty hops, caramel, and malt, as well as light notes of metal. Boring.

oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 5, 2011
Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is toasted notes, roasted notes, and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is the same as well as some slight with mild smoked wood as well.

Bottled. Dark mahogany colour. Spicy cardboardy nose. Sweetish and rather mellow. Light bodied but with rather firm mouthfeel. The vague roasty flavour and a touch of coffee really doesn’t spark much interest. Low bitterness. A disappointing effort.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 27, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, dark brown with a tint of red and a dense, beige head. Sweet, roasted aroma. Medium body with a lightly burned touch in the dark malts and some malt astringency. Bordering Schwarzbier territory really. 171207

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer aber schönen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, minimal würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, würzig, gering schokoladig.

Day 3 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle from the Rewe Bamberg shared on the train from Nuremberg to Freising, 26/01/14. Mahogony brown with a good sized beige head - a handsome looker. Nose is toffee, nutty, burnt sugar, dark fruit, brown bread, light spice. Taste comprises caramel, vanilla, light cocoa, earthy pangs. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. One of the best Dunkels we had over the weekend.
