COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Paying tribute to the late, great, Mac Dre; this Imperial Cascadian Dark Ale has a deep malt flavor that finishes dry with an insane tropical hop flavor and aroma.

On tap at 3 Pigs BBQ in San Carlos, CA. Appearance is murky brown. Aroma is tropical fruits and some dank earthiness. Taste is tropical hops, malt solids. Reminded me of an English IPA with more tropical / California notes. Felt more like an identity crisis more than a Black IPA. But still a unique attempt.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with orange glints and a beige/tan head. Aroma seems dank (not dark) chocolate. Med body. Flavor: Well make that dank (not dark) coffee. It’s mt really very bitter, but it seems quite hoppy. Very nice.

No hear though the abv is high. More citrus hops than roast, but a good coffee note in there as well. Nicely done.

Great hop aromas with a little woodyness mixed in. Deep mahogany with brown white ring of head. Mellow roasted flavors with light tinny accompanying hop. Leaves a roasted wood coating behind.

On tap at the Hog’s Apothecary. Pours a dark amber with a tan head. Aroma and flavor are similar, resin and citrus hops with strong crystal malt character. Meh

On tap.... Pours dark drown with tan head that quickly disappeared in my bear. Citrus and hop in the nose. Slight sweet chocolate note with a tad bitter note in the end

brokensail (16670) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 3, 2014
On tap @ Ale Arsenal. Very dark brown pour with a khaki head. Super citrusy nose. A lot of grapefruit and orange rind. Some bread, roasted malt, and coffee. A bit of pineapple and peach, too. Pretty nice. The flavor has a lot of juicy fruit character. Tons of grapefruit, orange, and pine. Some sweet caramel and brown sugar. A bit of coffee and a heavy roast character. Slightly tangy and citric on the back end. Not normally my thing, but I liked this one.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours dark brown with a rich tan head and a fruit and treacle aroma. There is a full-bodied chocolate malt flavor with a dry bitter finish.

Sampled on tap at ale arsenal. A nice brew that was refreshing and crisp at the same time. Quality brew with good malt palate.
