Tap at tap 25, pours a clearish red color with lots of lacing. Lots of bitter cascade with some sweet malt. Also some cherry, grain, and toast. Not bad

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark coppery red with a beige head. Aroma of citrus/touch of pine/sweetish malt. Med + body. Flavor is earthy, citrus, pine, malt (slightly roasty with chocolate hint). Finish - hint of coffee?, citrus, earthy; drier than not; definite hop bitter.

3.5
brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 31, 2014
On tap @ Altamont Beer Works. Clear amber pour with an off-white head. Kind of a grassy and candy apple nose. Some berry, pine, garlic, and a lot of herbs. Pretty toasty, too. Not bad... Flavor is a good mix of bitterness and sweet malt. A lot of woody, herbs, and piney hops to it. Kind of on the toasty side. A little bit burnt as well. Okay sweetness of caramel and toasted bread.

rayOfBeer (674) - El Cerrito, California, USA - JUL 8, 2014
Tap: cloudy caramel brown with thin white head. Aroma is pine resin and citrus hoppy. Flavor has a light punch of bitter grapefruit followed by a mild caramel and honey sweetness. Palate seems light with a malty feel and carries a lot of flavor. Easy drinking with nice flavors, not bad just not great.

3.3
Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 17, 2014
On tap at SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pour is red/brown with a small white head. Aroma and flavor are both of hop freshness, caramel, and pine. A bit watery.

2.5
pinkzambia (1933) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Tap @ The Doolittle - Castro Valley: Clear red gold with an aroma that’s more pleasant than the thin, watery taste. This is supposed to be a "Red IPA" and it’s a bad example. The body is weak and the flavors are lacking. Kind of like hoppy water.

3.2
