Draught at the Hop Grenade Concord. Fluffy light brown head. Amber color. Mild American hop aroma and lots of fresh cut grass. Small hop taste and smooth caramell malts. Low bitterness for a Ipa. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 11, 2016
Poured up on tap at Tap25 where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy dankness with some citrusy tangerine and Clementine in the background. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of spicy onion hops, tangerine, pineapple and a sliver of mango juiciness. This is going well. The hop bitterness and thin juiciness keep this deep and interesting yet dangerously drinkable. Solid. bhensonb (15628) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 5, 2016
Tap at Final Gravity. Pours dark translucent gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity with a hint of spice. Med + body. Flavor is light stone fruits, citrus/resin. It’s fruits and bitter for finish. Malt - well enough to support all the hop. Really nice IPA. Very bitter, but not harsh. batneil (754) - - DEC 31, 2015
Pretty decent IPA. Hoppy, not overpowering. Gently carbonated. Pale and clear orangey colour. aaronbr (189) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 23, 2015
Nice citrusy smell (I get orange) and a super clear orange color on the pour to match it, on tap at Hamlet in Noe Valley, San Francisco. Sharp taste, light bodied. Not as full as I had hoped, but overall very good. Looks great in this tulip glass!

Pours clear orange with a medium white head...nice lacing. Aroma is fairly malty and has some earthy and citrus notes. Flavor follows suit...too malty for my taste in IPAs...earthy/citrus bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is earthy and dry with a citrus/resinous accent. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - MAR 11, 2015
The brewery confirmed that this is Shelter IPA, but I was told to re-enter it under the new name. Anyway, most of Altamont beers taste different batch to batch due to their penchant for using different hop bills. This one was more floral, piney, spicy and dank compared to other batches. More toasted maltiness than their other hoppy offerings as well. Not nearly as fruity, but still clean and has resinous hop character. Nice, but rather underwhelming. gyllenbock (9712) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 6, 2015

32 oz. growlette from the brewery. It pours a brilliantly clear golden orange color with a lasting off white head. Lots of streaming bubbles. The aroma is intense with some grapefruit, pine, spicy cattiness and hints of sweet tropical fruit. The flavor is the same. Really nice complex hop flavor of grapefruit, pine, light spiciness and underlying tropical sweetness, yet very dry. No caramel flavors here. Good medium drinkable body. Clean, crisp and satisfying.
On tap at City Beer SF. Golden/orange with a small white head. Fresh and hoppy with pineapple, grapefruit and some hay. A kind of liked the drinkability of this one. brokensail (16631) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 31, 2014
On tap @ Altamont Beer Works. Clear Amber pour with a khaki head. A lot of pine, resin, and floral hops. Some sweet orange juice and a bit of pineapple juice. There’s a little spiciness to it as well. Quite a lot of caramel malt, though. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, but does have some good pine, grapefruit, and herbs. A bit on the floral and earthy side as well. Hints of peach and pineapple, maybe some mango. Not as citrusy as I had hoped. Zymurgeist2 (2349) - Redwood City, California, USA - OCT 18, 2014
On draught at Harry’s Hofbrau. Overt lemon, citrus and tropical hop aroma. Pours a clear, golden orange with full white head that billows and remains throughout. Taste follows the hop aroma profile with moderate malt backbone. Bitterness is slightly sharp, but otherwise a very tasty offering.
