Bottle. Straw blond colour. It’s a typical clean, crisp and refreshing German pilsener. WillemsUrenkel (1817) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - SEP 5, 2014
0,33 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Good lookin´ label art design. Clear pale golden in the glass, small short living white head. Typical Pilsener-like. Grainy, not very herb on the nose. Starts with a pleasant hop herb, mid bitterness. Some sourish hints. Malt in the background. Okay. Erzengel (8615) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - AUG 24, 2014
Many thanks to kappldav123 for this beer! The beer starts smooth and fresh. Nice bitter aroma till the mainpart, hints of grain, not too dry. The mainpart is bitter-fresh, easy to drink, but still deep, The nice intense bitter aftertaste (with hints of mint??) remains long on the tongue. Very nice. kappldav123 (6097) - GERMANY - AUG 17, 2014
Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, moldy-hoppy background. Light metallically. Finish still mild. Okay.

Laffes Pils mit einer derben Note und Getreide in der Dominanz. Trinkbar, geschmacklos, ganz ok. McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2014
Pours out of the bottle in a clear golden colour with airy head and crisp body. Aroma of malt and barley. Taste of mild hops, malt, barley, straw and mild citrus fruits. Easy drinkable but yet too grainy and boring. kingstoni (2077) - FINLAND - AUG 9, 2013
Bottle, ABV 5.0%. Clear pale golden color with a white head. Light aroma of hay and malt. Sweet taste with some bitterness. Flavors are sugary malt with some lemon. saxo (18208) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2013
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, grass and hops. bartlebier (3946) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2013
33cl bottles. Slightly too grainy to be crisp, just enough quality hops to balance out the dry (subdominant almond) malts. Not quite up to par to warrant "Edel", fair enough as a non-watery Northern Pils. One does wonder on what exact basis the DLG award their medals if quality ingredients and brewing procedures do not ensure the full expected taste.
