Flesje gedronken tijdens feest. Bleek gelig bier met matig schuim. Weinig aroma. Smaak is hoppig maar plat. Drinking_77 (145) - Basel, SWITZERLAND - NOV 30, 2017
Review: 0,5l Bottle of Altenmünster Urig Wurzig: ABV: 4.9% vol
In a strap bottle, which looks fairly nice and in a classic style, if a little unusual in that it didn’t have a label on the front, just a small description on the neck of the bottle.
The appearance is of a nice golden yellow colour, with a white fluffy head that looks well, albeit it does die a bit, Some small carbonation going on. Not bad looking.
The smell is malty, also get a sweet piercing smell of the citrus but its all very pleasant. A nice aroma.
Also get a rustic aroma of grains and hay, an earthy kind of smell.
Got nice big mouthfalls on the initial taste, light tastes, but nothing really standing out.
Very malty at the back end. Grainy taste as well.
All very smooth, not bitter, and very easy to drink.
But nothing outstanding, a regular enough brew, nothing to get too exited about.
Overall it is a good solid session beer, very smooth, no harsh aftertastes, very crisp. Good, but nothing special, few flavours.
A light lager taste. Pretty much a regular lager. I didn’t find the spicy part that many have noted in this beer.
Nothing special, bit disappointing considering the nice looking bottle and all, but would do if thirsty! wein.doch (48) - - AUG 12, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 Mild würziges Helles, leichte süßliche Hopfennote, etwas dünn im Geschmack. Sehr schöne Flasche mit Bügelverschluss. Mild heuig, leicht getreidig und cremig süffig. Charakterlos und relativ lageruntypisch. Irgendwie mehr alupilsig. Geht so..2 Liter Buddel aus Cottbus!!! A Gift ;)!!!

Yellowish orange color. Good carbonation and thick but not lasting foam. ly Aroma is mostly grainy and hay. The taste is not bitter at all, a bit watery, a bit spicy but very simple. The palate with average carbonation and long.
The beer is not memorable but drinkable. EvNa (603) - Ede, NETHERLANDS - APR 30, 2017
UPDATED: APR 30, 2017 Bottle. Color: Pale gold, white head. Taste: Malt, bread, watery. Very lightly notes of some kind of herbs. Where are the hops gone? Only some lightly notes of them. Grainy / bread notes in the also watery finish. Not refreshing. No taste. Why even bothering to brew this beer...? Only because the bottle is a nice one... gripweed57 (2969) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 9, 2017
From old tasting notes. Pale yellow gold color. Rocky white head. Soft malty nose. Fruity , grainy malt palate. Notes of lemon peel. Crisp, dry hoppy finish. mek4nek (1) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - MAR 15, 2017 does not count
personal favourite. The look is fine. I like the first sip the better. Beautifully sparkling and with a finely nutty spicy note. Yeah I like it. A delicious hop and a subtle sweetness, which does not take up too much space. Just in the first two seconds, this can easily convince the core. After this, the aroma loses some dominance, the hop then passes through and provides a clear, slightly dry taste. Not bad, the whole thing. This is a delicious Pilsener with a bit more hop to make it a Lager/Export.
The bottes look nice - I reuse them for my homebrew beers.
