durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 24, 2010
Bottle from Sam’s in Durham. Poured into a Duvel glass. Cloudy dark golden-orange pour with slight green tint... must be a ton a hops. Literally a four-inch head pillowing out of the top of the glass by an inch. Lovely and big. Nose shows a good deal of mildly citric and grassy hops. Some yeast and grain. A bit sweet. I like it.

thornecb (6022) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 22, 2010
Pours deep gold into a snifter. Large congolmerate head recedes leaving spider lacing. Floral caramel aromas. Sharp carbonation upfront leads to a malty middle and a lasting bitter saaz finish. Alcohol well-hidden on this one.
