COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the wave of Golden Milk Stouts some of our favorite breweries are making, we decided to replicate Oreo Cookies in beer form, with a luscious, milkshake-like texture on nitro. Ample amounts of Dutch cocoa, Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans & Ecuadorian cacao nibs coupled with minimal bitterness and a rich, toasty malt base, this beer is ice cream in a glass.

Draft. A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, and straw. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt and candy.

On tap at Final Gravity. Pours golden with a thick white head and a cookie aroma. There is a sweet chocolate and white frosting flavor. Yes, just like an oreo.

Pours a finger of head on a hazy straw body. Aroma is cookies and cream, but in the best way for a beer. Taste is the same. Really well balanced. I probably couldn’t drink more than one though. Texture is soft.

On tap @ Caps & Taps. Clear golden beer with a huge, thick white head. Lots of vanilla, cocoa powder, bread, and toasted grain. A little bit of a bitterness to the flavor but it’s really big on the vanilla and cookie dough. Lots of sugar cookie in general. Not bad, pretty basic beer and good for what it is.

On tap at the brewery. LIght gold pour with a creamy white head. Aroma is lightly sweet sugar cookie and vanilla. Flavor is cocoa, vanilla, and vanilla frosting. Beer is good and interesting, but the vanilla frosting aspect I get in the beer is a little unappealing to me.

Location: On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City, CA
Aroma: Mild cocoa, cookies, some vanilla
Taste: Has that chocolate and vanilla flavor you’d expect but much more natural and tame than other versions I’ve had.
Overall: Pretty good for this style that I usually find pretty artificial and/or unappealing

On tap at Caps & Taps. It pours a pale golden color with a creamy off white head. The aroma is bready with toasted malt, hints of cookies and graham cracker. Surprisingly it doesn’t smell like it would be super sweet. The flavor is creamy with hints of cookie. Lots of sweet cream. Almost no bitterness. Gimmicky, but well done for what they’re advertising here.

Nitro tap at Final Gravity. I’m having aroma trouble. Chocolate in a cocoa way. Med body. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, arguably lactose and something making me think veg. I get bits and pieces, but all together I’m not really thinking cookie. Makes me think of white stout, but I haven’t had many of those. It has a certain malty sweetness.

On nitro at Ale Arsenal. The aroma and taste really follow the title here, and the nitro gives a pleasant well-roundedness to the "cookie" aspects of this beer. Overt cocoa powder on the flavor.
