On tap at ISO: Beer. Pours a deep black with a medium sized tan head. Big fat Folgers crystals on the nose. Captures the name beautifully. Thick fat roast and freeze dried coffee, but picks up a touch of green pepper and jalepeno on the nose. Medium bodied, this out a touch on the back end of a big roast and coffee filled liquid. Full of roast, chocolate, cocoa, long roast.

Can. From brokensail. Nose is moderate chocolate with light milky coffee. Sugary notes. Black with brown highlights. Tastebus initially silky smooth sugary coffee. Thin in the mouth with a ground coffee finish. Literally tastes like coffee with a little residual sugar. Not bad.

Tasted twice now and better the first time. Slightly sweet with just enough coffee flavour without being over powering. Nice little Stout. Second tasting was not quite as smooth which gave it a slightly stale taste. (K)

16 oz can from Final Gravity. Pours dark brown with an attractive tan head and a roasty coffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied sweet smooth chocolate malt flavor with a nice coffee finish.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2017 Hits on all cylinders - fantastic coffee and vanilla nose, smooth creamy feel and flavor of coffee, milk chocolate vanilla and roasted malt. Wonderful stout! Oddly lighter in color flavor and even body on tap in Monterrey than it was in the can.

Tap at Final Gravity in Roseville, CA. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee that’s not super strong. Seems unusual. To me. Med body. Flavor is dark malt, smooth chocolate, mildly bitter, and for some reason the coffee makes me think of chilies. Not hot, just ... Anyway, overall it is quite a nice drink.

Sampled at GABF 2016 with Paul and Larry. Pours a deep brown body with thick lace. Nose is basically roasted coffee. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with notes of rich roast malt and earthy coffee. Solid.
