Hazy yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some wheat, yeast and coriander notes. The flavor is full of brett, lemon, orange and leather. High carbonation and medium mouthfeel.

bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 28, 2013
(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy pale yellow body with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of lemon, yogurt, horseblanket, spruce, light wet leather, and herbs. Flavor of lemon, brett, earth, grass, coriander, and wet wood with a dry finish.

(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clearish medium yellow, foamy white head. Nose of belgian yeast, spicy, candi sugar, floral, lightly hoppy, greens. Taste is lightly floral, brett, earthy, pilsner like, medium body, very well carbonated.

brystmar (1314) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Bretty nose like crazy, waaaay too much carbonation. Kiss of smoke. Nearly everything gets overwhelmed by the yeast; wheat remains. Meh.

brugmanneke (283) - GERMANY - OCT 15, 2012
(75 cl bottle) Gushing. Murky yellow coloured, hazy, with a bubbly off-white head. Extremely floral and herbal aroma, I would even say: like perfumed soap and cough syrup or some other kind of medicine. With a wild touch that seems to be originating from their morpheus yeast (just guessing), since I find it in many of their beers I have tried. Not much smoke - wouldn’t have guessed it is supposed to be smoked. Taste is quite bitter. Astringent finish. Interesting, but rather unbalanced, and not at all what I expected (where’s the smoke?). Certainly not a beer I would use to convince newbies that craft beer is a good thing.

75cl Bottle @ home. Hazy orange amber coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a huge but diminishing white head. Fruity herby and slightly hoppy hinted aroma. Full sprankling palate. Finish is strong herby, malty hinted with a strong bitter touch. Nice.

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with big foamy white head. Nose/taste of sour lemon, smoked malt, spicy hops and yeast. Some smoked sweet malts. Medium body. Reminded me of a smoked berliner weiss.

Bottle. Extremely gushing. The bottle almost emptied itself. Poured a cloudy yellow with a bubbly white head. The aroma is bit dusty sour with notes of yeast and fruit. The flavour is light sour, dusty hops, fruit and yeast. Not that interesting.

Gusher would be an understatement. I only got about 4 ounces out of a 750ml bottle into my glass. This thing looked like a fountain and sprayed my entire kitchen down. Alvinne might want to look at their infection issue. This is about the 4th or 5th beer I’ve had from them with this problem. I guess they probably just label everything with ’Morpheus Inside’ now to not have to answer for their infection issue, and just tell everyone that it’s ’wild’.

It is a very opaque pour. Looks like some kind of unfiltered cider. Dirty looking. The head was there, then the next second it was gone. No lacing. Smells like bad corn. And sugar? Tastes sweet. Like bubble gum flavored soda. That’s about it. It has an obvious sour tinge to it, and a bitter-sweet aftertaste.

I just looked up and noticed this is labeled as a smoked beer. What? There is not one iota of smokiness in this thing. I’m going to have to give up on Alvinne after this one. I can’t take the infection any longer that they really seem to have an issue with. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was moderately priced. But this gem was almost 7Euros.

Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011
