Bottle. [thank you, Harrisoni]
Pours lightly hazy copper-red with a fine, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has some tart fruit notes, clear green grapes, oak, red wine, light raspberries and a touch of caramel. Highish carbonation, a bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly tart, some caramel, lots of oak, good fruitiness, grapes, peach. Light lemony and very dry finish. Fine, but it might have fared better with another percent in alcohol?

Botella. Sweet fruity woody aroma. Sour fruity and sweet woody flavour. More sour than fruity.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2009
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy beige head leaving laces. Leaky and gushing bottle. Tart, woody aroma. Light body, tart with good woody accents and a light fruitiness. Dry, sour finish with a hint of metal. Should be classified as a Sour - and it’s a good one. 220809

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2009
It floods out of the bottle upon opening and the beer is unclear copper-orange-golden. The aroma is sour with notes of yeast, fruit and wood. The flavor is like sour wine and vinegar with notes of wood and fruit, and the finish is tart. Sounds worse, but it’s kind of OK.

Plovmand (8266) - Helsinge, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2009
Bottle. Unclear yellow body with a creamy off white head. Oak, grapes, sour fruit, citrus and sweet malt in aroma. A mix of sweetness and sourish notes from fruit, malt and grapes in flavour. Tart finish.

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2009
A Mes rate. Bottle at home.
An awesome clean golden brown colour. Amazing calvados / apple aroma with caramel, burnt sugar, excellent fruity notes and just the right amount of barrel. The flavour is even better. Again the barrel notes are stunning and in perfect harmony with the fruit, wine and tarty sourness. Excellent dry mouth feel makes it hugely drinkable. Not brimming with complexity but what it does, it does exceptionally well. Basically it’s superb wine barrel notes with a simple but excellent base beer. Alvinne continue to go from strength to strength.

Bontus (800) - Flanders, BELGIUM - AUG 29, 2009
75 cl bottle, tasting at Alvinne. Pours dark golden with a creamy head. Vinous nose, vinous acid aroma’s, grapes & other fresh fruits. Astringent & tart, very refreshing, excellent MF. Finishes sour with oak caskwood and smokey hints like vanilla.

Skinnyviking (9550) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2009
Bottle. High creamy and lasting white head. Hazy orange body. Malt grapefruit caramel brett sour aroma and flavor with low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Hazy deep amber with a medium off white head. Sourish aroma with hints of lacto, berries and malty notes. Sour flavour with malty and berry notes. Had some lacto. Finished sour. Not bad.
