Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish, oak, minerals, mild vinegar, grass, weeds, hay, soil, thinner, burnt caramel. Taste is dry, oak, bark, weeds, minerals, grass, mild vinegar, hay, berry skin. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Bottle shared with BBGTC. Pours a dark coppery producing a shortlived medium head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, lemon juice and wood. Taste is sour. Notes of leather and wood. Hints of balsamico and smoke. Strange beer. Medium to medium light body. Avg co2 levels. ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2015
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a clear ruby-hued brown body with a small beige head. Nose is cherries, balsamic, blue cheese, acetic acid, brown sugar, raisins and hints of rum, wood and caramel. Taste is wood, astringent sour tones, raisins, tart berries, cognac and hints of black currants, whisky and stomach acid. Medium to light body, medium to soft carbonation. Not bad, but not the best sour I’ve had either. Alengrin (5893) - BELGIUM - JUL 26, 2014
One of the many ’composite’ beers of Alvinne, a blend of Morpheus Dark with Kerasus. Off-white, fairly unstable foam, colour a dark, misty burgundy brown. Aroma sourish and woody, sour cherries, sour cream, white grapes, balsamic vinegar, caramel... Sour and lively fruity taste, lactic acid, caramel malts, toasted and woody accents, hay, finish complex, dryingly sourish, lightly roasted, full with some warming alcohol. Complex as expected and not badly balanced.
