Gitzwart bier met zeer beperkte schuimkraag. Zeer dik olieachtig bier. smaken van koffie, rood fruit, zwarte chocolade, Bourgogne wijn. Lekker stevig bier.

Donkerzwart bier. Warme, licht bittere, afdronk. Zéér goed.

Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 1 25/09/2016. Aroma is big vinegar, malt vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. A dark black caramel coloured pour with a halo of mid tan head. Flavour is composed of salty soy, black malts, musty, umami and tangy apple. Palate is semi sweet and salty, lowish carboantion. Lingering slaty black malts. Not a fan of this.

From tap at Borefts ’15. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma has roast, some chocolate, dark fruits and a soft tartness. Taste is mostly the same with a soft tartness and some fruitiness. Medium body and carbo.

Bottle @ home bought from DeKoninck in Vichte. Very powerful taste, of liquorice, treacle, hint of port flavours. I absolutely love this beer, it must be one of my all time favourites.

kajser27 (2247) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 11, 2016
Thick, black colored, small to no dark tan head, non lasting. Aroma is of roasted malt, dark fruits, brown sugar, woody and bit boozy. Taste is very sweet brown sugar and chocolate, roasted malt, coffee liqueur, woody barrel, dark fruits, light tartness, mild bitterness, dry finish, quite boozy. Full bodied, soft to flat carbonation, thick-chewy. For sipping. Thanks to the crew of Bierhalle for the bottle!! (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Tom L. Brown black color. Aroma of wood, chocolate, vanilla and port wine. Sweet, flavors of caramel, port wine, cherries, wood, vanilla, prunes, chocolate, sour berries. Medium-full bodied, smooth and oily with low carbonation. Complex and good.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of kajser27, shared with him, Marko and franski. Pitch black coloured, minimal brown head, barrel in the nose. Heavy roasted malt, chocolate, strong alcohol, notes of cocoa and barrel with dry alcoholic finish. Bit too strong on the alcohol side but good beer overall.
