COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Monumental version of the famous Cuvée de Mortagne. Several months and special techniques were needed to reach the incredible alcohol content through natural fermentation. Full bodied and powerfull beer with strong reference to a Pedro Ximénez type of sherry. Aged on sherry barrel for one year. BATCH #1 - 2015 SINGLE CASK - 700 BOTTLES

May 2017 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. Big thanks to Kenny. As ’Alvinne Cuvée de Mortagne Pedro Ximénez’, Single Cask, 700 bottles made, 16%. Very dark ruby, hazy, very little head at all. Aroma is red wine, elderberries, raisin and fig. Body is smooth, quite big and rounded. Taste is quite honeyish, red wine, honeyed wine, lashings of sweet sherry, honey biscuit. Touch sweet for me perhaps but nice. (8-3-7-4-15=3.7)

Piany praktycznie brak, barwa rubinowa, opalizujaca. Aromat budzi skojarzenia z intensywnym, slodkim, wzmacnianym winem - dojrzale, ciemne winogrona, figi, kandyzowane wisnie, w tle stara beczka, czerwone wino, wanilia... Bogato, intensywnie i przyjemnie.
Fantastyczny napitek! Poziom pierwowzoru, czyli Cuvée De Mortagne, bezapelacyjnie osiagniety. Dla mnie póki co piwo roku 2017!

Bottleshare at Leighton’s gaff. Hazy amber beer, no head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest to low carbonation. Malts are sweet. Brown sugar and tangy fruity sherry. Sherry sweetness into toffee - caramel. Light finish. Light for it’s massive abv but needs some more carb or go the whole hog and make it Baladin Xyauyu kind of a beer. Enjoyable though.

Bottle split at Hackney Levels, thanks to the Essex Flopper, 31/05/17. Very light haze on a chestnut brown pour with a decent beige cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is sweet malts, jammy berries, sherry barrel, toffee, booze tunes, mellow wood barrrel. Taste comprises sweet licks, sherry evident, spice, toffee, stoned fruits, sweet and tangy licks, dates, prunes. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, warming booze kick in the finale. Decent.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2017 Bottle care of Ken. Drank at LKS. It pours deep reddish - brown with minimal head. The aroma is rich, oily, sweet, sticky, baked goods, vinous, loads of jam, port wine, candy and oily stuff. The taste is slick, oily, juicy, vinous, stewed fruits, port wine, warming alcohol, boosty, vanilla, earth and black tea with a drying finish. Full body, limited carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Rich and filthy. Could be done with more carb though to lift it.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Mitch. Pours clear copper with almost no head. Big ripe berry aroma, apple sauce, toffee, bread. Medium to big sweet flavour with syrupy berries, fruity candy, alcohol, cherry, fruitcake, bread. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with no carbonation. Warming and sticky on the finish, with more sugary candies, caramel. Good, but heavy.

Bottle sharing w Multi Qlti. Piany kompletnie brak.
