0,33l bottle from Damian Bottle Shop, Bratislava, not sure if Piment d’Espelette, but alcohol is 12,8% . Pours cloudy dark red liquid, small creamy white head, Aroma: lot of red fruits, candied, raisins, cherries, some sour funky notes slightly in the background, caramel malty, Taste: medium sweet, light to medium bitter, light to medium sour, cherry tree, candied fruits, raisins, slightly sour wild, alcohol, Palate: full body, soft to flat carbonation, oily mouthfeel, long sweet candy fruit aftertaste, Overall: very good, enjoyed.

Rami Rami is drinking a Cuvée de Mortagne Piment d’Espelette by Brouwerij Alvinne at Czerniakowska Kwaskowate, owocowe, nieco flandersowe, super ukryte alko, pieprzowe posmaki, lekkie w odbiorze, sianowate aromaty, b pijalne. Za duzo pieprzu dla mnie, gdyby nie to, byloby wyzej.

Bottle @ home from Deconinck Vichte. Pours ruddy brown into an Alvinne tulip with little head, and even that quickly dissipated. Sensational taste starting with dark fruits, ending with medium hot pepper on the tongue. A great beer that took me by surprise because I didn’t read the label properly (it’s really spicy!)

50cl-fles van bij Bierhalle Deconinck te Vichte. U: Troebel bruin met beige schuimkraag. G: Karamel, jonagoldappels, rozijnen en peperig. S: Zoet met een enorme pepperigheid. Karamel, veel Spaanse pepers en gedroogd fruit. M: Volmondig met medium carbonatie.

Borefts VIII. Day 2. Keg. Hazy deep reddish - brown beer, tidy cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Toffee malts, not that sweet and a little tangy. Trace of wood. Rich dessert wine fruits, plum, prune. Ripe fruits and sweet fruits. Spice blossoms on the finish and lingers on. Tasty stuff.

On tap @ Borefts 2016. This is a cloudy darkish amber looking one, on the top there’s a small islandy and kinda sidesticking beige top. It smells soft sweet at first. Lots of burnt raisins and dates. Generic darker type dried fruits. Some sweetness and sourness from small Orange plums. It tastes more like a blend between a mead and a barrel aged quad. Lots of honey sweetness, and I get a little chili prickle on the tip of the tongue after the swallow. It’s thick and almost a little syrupy in the mouth while soft on the carbonation. Boiled down melon juices in the finish, and the little chili warming makes sense. Not bad. 24.09.2016

Pianka nieduża, kremowa, pozostaje w postaci chmurki. Barwa brązowo rubinowa, mętna. Nuty czerwonego wina, ciemnego winogrona, kandyzowanych owoców i ziół składają się na bukiet delikatnego zapachu. W smaku wyraźnie intensywniejsze, dość słodkie, nuty winno taniczne plus minimalna kwaskowość schodzą na drugi plan, głównie dominują kandyzowane i suszone owoce, karmel, śliwki, marcepan, kokos i niestety palące papryczki, pieprz. Goryczka średnia, migdałowo głogowa, wysycenie niskie. W ustach pełne, treściwe, z długimi posmakami i ułożonym alkoholem.
Uważam, że to samo piwo bez dodatku pikantnych papryczek byłoby o klasę lepsze. Fajny posmak starej beczki, lekko dziki, winny i kokosowy na tle ciężkich, typowo quadruplowych estrów potrafi rozwalić na łopatki niejednego malkontenta (patrz choćby podstawowa wersja Cuvée De Mortagne) - tu to się do końca nie udało...

Draft @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy woody sour caramel aroma. Fruity sweetish malty woody sour flavor with hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty spicy woody sour finish.

Bottle (from etre gourmet). Pours dark copper-brown with beige head. The head stays for some momtens. Aroma is oxidized, sweet, malt, caramel, dark fruits, dates. Flavor is sweet and bitter, also bit oxidized, caramel, malt, black plums, dates, raisins, chili. Finish is sweet and bitter with nice chili burn. Overall: very good, but not a traditional quad in any way, just a dark chili beer.
