UPDATED: MAY 31, 2015 Brun farge, lavt skum. Aroma av søt malt. I smaken er det litt surt og litt søtt. Medium konsistens.

Bottle during Brussels vacation, thanks a lot, Pierre! Ruby brown with small off white head. Aroma of grapes, vinous notes, plums, raisins and light sour cherry. Taste is powerful, woody, vinous, grapes, sweet malt, alcohol. Sweet without being cloying, complex as hell

@ ACBF 2015. Murky dark amber colour, almost no foam. Sirupy texture. Almost no carbonation.Fruity with notes of caramel. Sweet with light vinous notes. Very alcoholic. Ok.

ZeroDome (133) - GERMANY - MAR 8, 2015
Nice reddish colour, appearance is good but only with a little head of foam. Tastes quite fruity, the alcohol is hidden and its a bit sweet.

AdamChandler (5113) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Dark reddish brown. nice color actually with a 2 finger dense head Grape juice, apple, other dark fruits, maybe sour cherry aroma. Crisp mouthfeel, some sugars at middle and finish. Loads of fruit. Yu for sure taste the ABV in this. boozy, thick, the sour fades almost immediately to booze.

Bov (13004) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 24, 2015
[email protected] Trappiste - hazy dark brown beer with a little foam left; aroma of plums, banana and wood; notes of pear and Cognac; full-bodied and highly sweet, tons of residual sweetness, figs, plums and other ripe fruits in a long woody aftertaste - very good but clearly too sweet for me to be great

Vells (1879) - Rīga, LATVIA - FEB 22, 2015
Raisiny oaky vinous nose. Decent maltiness profile, caramel, wood, dried fruits. Mostly sweet with light bitterness, quite sticky. Weird - feels quite complex and enjoyable, but with bit shallow finish. No sign of 14 ABV. Quite awesome brew, but lacks bit intensity.

bytemesis (8823) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Bottle purchased for off-sale at the Birch. Pours hazy ruby chestnut, medium fizzy brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is malty, toffee, raisin, caramel, date, vinous, oaky. Flavor is full sweet, light bitter, malty and rich, cocoa, dark sugars, red wine. Full body, creamy. Solid.
