Opaque dark brown beer with a good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and airy. Little dry. Mild minerals. Touch of aniseed but otherwise the alcohol is well hidden. Light toffee malt cream. Dried fruits. Mild spice and a touch of sherry. Finishes crisp. Interesting beer, was expecting heavy and sweet but this is light and crisp!

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours cloudy, red-brown with a faint, bubbly white head. Sugary malt nose with ripe fruits, toffee and bread. Very big sweet flavor, a touch syrupy, with jammy fruits, dates, plums, cake and toffee. Full bodied with soft, chewy carbonation. Lightly warming finish with tons of ripe, candied fruits, jam, figs, plums, cake. Very rich, but not overly cloying in the end. Great stuff. Rasmus40 (20639) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 24, 2016

Bottle from Nuetnigenough, Brussels
Dark brown color with quite a lot of sediment; creamy head. Some aroma of alcohol, prunes, chocolate; fresh and inviting, delicate. Good body strength, with smooth mouthfeel, also because of the high carbonation; roasted malt flavor and chocolate, rich, with light accents of red wine, and correct bitterness.
It combines in a very elegant way te chocolate and the red wine characters.
Deep, intense, complex and well blended. Highly interesting.
