The taste is sweet, juicy berry, dark fruit, vinous, jammy, red grape, wood, alcohol warmth, earth and mild toast with a dry, vinous finish. Med-full body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Tap @ Borefts 2012. Ripe fruit in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with lots of ripe and even candied fruit, hiding the alcohol.

[email protected] Trappiste - hazy dark brown beer with a little foam left; aroma of plums, banana and wood; notes of pear and Cognac; full-bodied and highly sweet, tons of residual sweetness, figs, plums and other ripe fruits in a long woody aftertaste - very good but clearly too sweet for me to be great

Bottle, bought @ Zombier, Spain.
Pours deep brown, bordering on black with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has dark chocolate, oak, red wine, raisins, plums, light vinious. Medium to low carbonation, very oily and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour is complex, dark toasted caramel, dark chocolate with prunes and madeira. Lingering oak and red wine astringency. Lingering dry and vinious finish. Lovely, strong and complex.

Tons of dark fruits, quite vinous, tannic, oak adds some subtley. A nice one in this series.
