Rune (12773) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 7, 2015
Poured from a bottle, 12.9 % abv, at Haandbryggeriet Beer Festival 2015. Shared with Finn. Cloudy dark reddish body. Tiny head, spotty lacing. Sweet and dried fruity nose. Likewise, the taste profile is made up by rather sweet, dried fruits, hints of dough beneath. Vinous impression. Balanced by a little fruity tartness to the ending. Still too sweet. Boozy. Okay in smaller amounts (Drammen 30.05.2015).

Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 24, 2015
[email protected] Trappiste - hazy dark brown beer with a little foam left; aroma of plums, banana and wood; notes of pear and Cognac; full-bodied and highly sweet, tons of residual sweetness, figs, plums and other ripe fruits in a long woody aftertaste - very good but clearly too sweet for me to be great

thewolf (12595) - Kolding, DENMARK - APR 12, 2013
Bottle, bought @ Zombier, Spain.
Pours deep brown, bordering on black with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has dark chocolate, oak, red wine, raisins, plums, light vinious. Medium to low carbonation, very oily and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour is complex, dark toasted caramel, dark chocolate with prunes and madeira. Lingering oak and red wine astringency. Lingering dry and vinious finish. Lovely, strong and complex.

Draught @ Haand Ølfestival 2013
Pours slightly hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, oak, alcohol, and brown sugar. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long sweet, oak and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2014
Bottle @ home, thanks to Lukaduke for sending! Pours a deep orangish red appearance with a lasting, foamy, dark brown head. Really complex nose. Cinnamon, plums, prunes, red grapes, apples, dark chocolate, and caramel in the the nose. The spicy cinnamon booze in the nose comes off like a mild form of Goldschläger. Medium body. There is some note of the booze but it’s not too strong. Kind of tastes like a tannic red wine that has some additional brown sugar and toffee. A fair amount of dark fruits as well as leather. The carbonation is a little dull. Some light oxidation. A little bit of residual sugar in the mouth after the finish. Damn, this is fine beer.

pivnizub (10618) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle: Murky brown, small off-white head, solid sweet fruity (plums) and molassy nose with a tinge of alcohol; sweet flavour with a discredt bitterness, full bodied, what else; sweet plummy finish, malt and molasses, too plus a tinge of alcohol. The perfect light thirst-quencher…
