Bottle purchased for off-sale at the Birch. Pours hazy ruby chestnut, medium fizzy brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is malty, toffee, raisin, caramel, date, vinous, oaky. Flavor is full sweet, light bitter, malty and rich, cocoa, dark sugars, red wine. Full body, creamy. Solid.

larsga (7375) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2012
Smallish beige head. Hazy deep brownish red body. Fruity vinous sugary aroma with wooden notes. Dry-sweet wooden fruity taste with funky caramelly notes. Fullish body. Hot, rounded, smooth mouthfeel. Dry-sweet roasty wild berry and fruit aftertaste with peppery vinous wooden funky notes. Traces of wine grapes, earth, spice and menthol. Complex, interesting, and unusual. Subtle, and full of flavours. Wish theyd sold it in 0.25l bottles though. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoply, Vika, Oslo.)

Deep brownish colour with a tan head. Sweet malt, fruity and a bit sour aroma. Rich sweet fruity, lots of caramel malt, and light sour flavour. To much alcohol.

Keg @ Borefts 2012. The pours completely still reddish brown. No head, not bubbles. The nose is spple, spiced mulled wine, some cocoa posder and red fruits. Te taste is sweet liquid cotton candy, some spiced fruits, more mulled wine and caramel. Hints of red grape and rich rotting wood (in a good way). Diverse, complex palate. Soft, very drinkable. Wow, what a beer. One of the best of the festival. Complex, rewarding character.

Drank at Borefts 2015. Pours unclear, very dark amberbrown. No real head. Not so intense smell. Taste is a bit sour, fruity, boozy. Is that red wine ? Grains, some oak. OK carbo and MF

Fra flaske p Haand lfestival 30 Mai 15. Delt med Rune. Mrk amber. Uklar. Filmskum. St fruktaroma. Smaken ogs st. En del frukt. Alkoholen manifesteres nok gjennom overdreven sdme.

Marduk (6765) - Reval, ESTONIA - APR 13, 2016
500ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Hazy chestnut color. Tiny size, bubbly head, disappears. Fruity, apples, caramel, raspberry, sweet in aroma. Sweet, fruity, raisins, alcohol, touch of yeast in taste. Sweet raisins and sharp alcohol in aftertaste. Hopping is nice, but overall concept is way too boozy.

From a 500 ml bottle shared at home. Pours a dark cola brown with an off white head. Aroma raisins. Flavors of caramel, plums, dark cherries and candy sugar. Smooth and mellow, with low carbonation.
