Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Pours dark dark brown, tanned head that falls down to a nice thin layer. Nice laces on glass as well. Smells of caramel, oak, some wine aromas, yeast esters and malts. I find alot of barrel aging in the aroma. Very malty, heavy sweet, raisins and alcohol strikes, then some oak and wine. Nice medium bitter finish, some resins, oak and hops. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Totally a nice beer, i find it to suit the barrel aging quite nice.

On 33 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Black color & off white foam. Aromas of licorice, malt, chocolate & some dried fruit + cask ageing influence. Full body & high complexity. Medium carbonation. Some sweetness, but also nice sourness and some bitterness- well balanced. Very enjoyablea

Bottle thanks to Taylor at MFF. Aroma was prunes, port, chocolate and oak. Poured deep purple brown with little carbonation or head. Taste was ruby port, prunes, molasses and vinegary oak. Very dark for all the vinegar notes. This is a dependable kind of beer to come from Alvinne. Gotta be in the mood.
