5th March 2010. Pre ZBF. Opaque black beer. A little sour coca cola on the nose. Dry palate but not overly so. Very curious taste. Milky coca cola with a nutty tone. Pretty sweet but also sour! Not a bad beer but just a bit odd. cgarvieuk (26365) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 25, 2011
bottle at home ... deep brown ... thin lacing ... sour woody toffee cherry nose ... soft roast ... light balsamic ... light tart sourness ... soft wine tones ... ok but not really me. omhper (25948) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 26, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2010 Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm (as Cuvée Freddy Bourgogne OA, 8%). Cloudy dark brown, minimal airy head. Vinous, buttery Rodenbach-like lactic nose. Tart and vinous with light spritzy mouthfeel and above medium body. Lactic and cherryish, dominated by welloaked red wine. Fresheningly sour, deepand comples with lots of tannine bitterness. Only slight roastiness remains from the Mano Negra. Feels like a deluxe Rodenbach Grand Cru with more concentrated flavours and a delicious addition of dry oaky red wine. Despite the rich flavuors it stays elegant. I really, really enjoyed this one!
