Aroma: 7
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, wood, fruit, red wine, tart and rhubarb.

Appearance: 4
Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with a slight white/off-white head.

Taste/Palate: 9/4
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, wood, fruit and red wine; ends slighlty dry and sour with tart and rhubarb.

Overall: 16
This beer is intense. complex and balanced. Lovely red wine barrels it aged on together with the base sour wild ale and the added rhubarb. Great appearance and palate as well, but the aroma could have been stronger.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2017 04/09/2017 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Hazy orange with small white bubble head like cooking fruit. Nose is straight rhubarb jam, sour touch, sweet touch. Taste is the basic Phi/ Cuvée Sofie taste joined by rhubarb. Really refreshing fruitbeer. Mild sour so very drinkable for everybody but tempting enough. Seen this beer truly honours the base (Cuvée Sofie) and adds the rhubarb to it, only 1 score possible.

Tap at BXL festival. Hazy darker golden with small white head. Sour rhubarb, light glue, sour grains, soft herbs, light dough, soft balsamic vinegar. Medium sour and under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Nice but not the best Sofie.

Sampled at BXL. Hazy orange with a thin white head. Notes of rhubarb, boiled vegetables, citrus, lemon zest. I am starting to dislike rhubarb beers.

Murky dark blond with no head. Aroma and flavour both have the typical sharpness of rhubarb. This one is not particularly yeasty.
