330 ml bottle a hazy yellow colored beer with a white head aroma malts some fruit spices and hops taste fruit spices and a bitter hoppy finish Frank (4194) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 16, 2010
This gushed a bit for me but otherwise seems uninfected though it did perhaps spend a bit too much time on the shelf. You can never tell w/ Belgians sometimes they are just overcarbonated. Sometimes there is something horribly wrong. It’s cloudy orange w/ a messy white head of large bubbles. The nose is nutty malts first and a bit of hops in the background. This is medium bodied and retained it’s carbonation despite gushing, which is normally not the case. Taste is rather similar to the nose and is notably lacking in Belgian yeast character, which is not really a problem in and of itself just not what I was expecting. It is a bit fruity but I am barely getting any bananas or cloves. A good firm bitterness rounds out the finish. This is really only decent. It has neither the vibrant hop character of a good IPA nor the spicy yeast or wonderful carbonation of a great Belgian. drpimento (3638) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 10, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 28, 2015 8/10/2010 DO NOT OPEN UNLESS OUTSIDE OR NEAR A DRAIN! MAJOR GUSHER! Now that I finally have some in my glass, the head is cream colored with globs of brown trub floating on top and no lace. Color is a cloudy amber with lots of sediment in suspension or at the bottom of the glass. Aroma is very yeasty, malt, champagne. Flavor is like aroma with only a hint of sweetness. Yeast really dominates. Finish is the same way. Body is good and carbonation is too. New rating: Much better this time around! Appearance is a small, durable, off-white head, lots of lace, and a hazy amber color. Aroma is grain and yeast. Flavor’s malt, grain sweet and yeast, hop bitter. Not too complex. Body is good with a bit of alcohol warmth. Finish is very long with the bitter. jimhilt (2610) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 19, 2010
Pours a five+ finger off-white head that fades quickly to a thin layer, leaving traces of lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Spicy nose. Flavor is spicy, some caramel, some grapefruit. Lingering sour finish. $5.95 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma. fugitive (2005) - Athens, GREECE - JUL 14, 2010

Hazy golden pour with a lively white head. The aroma is lemon citrus, hoppy goodness, and some mild yeasty dough. The flavor is super crisp lemon and orange notes with fruity dough notes and a grassy hop finish. Palate is medium bodied with supple caressing effervescence and a dry crisp finish. thedm (6183) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 27, 2010
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a extremely large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent light yellow orange body before the yeast hit and deep dark yellow orange light brown after. The deep aroma was hoppy and floral. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The good flavor contained notes of deep floral hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 5, 2010
330 ml bottle. From Germany (bierkompass.de). OKT2011. Lot 412.drseusszb200 (687) - Florida, USA - MAY 27, 2010
Rediculous amout of foam coming out of bottle all over the place before I was even trying to pour it. Not very easy to pour or drink since it’s foaming a lot. Lots of yeast sediment as well. Hazy yellow colour with incredibly oversized foamy white head. Fruity hoppy bitterness combined with Belgian yeast and some caramel sweetness in aroma. Flavour is Belgian yeast, bitter hops, sweet caramel, malt and spices. Quite strong. Alcohol warming well present. Interesting mixture of well hopped ale and Belgian Ale. Good but not exactly the cream of the crop.
poured golden with a nice head that stuck around tasted more belgian style then ipa very drinkable
