A silly amount of foam came out of the bottle. Other than that, it smelled and tasted great. Even though this is probably an old bottle (bought on clearance) the hop aroma and flavor have stuck around along with an earthiness and woodsiness. A tasty beer, but with the sheer amount of sediment, I am guessing this is a fairly old bottle.

Bottled sample consumed at Cambrinus. Hazy dark gold with very strong carbonation. Aromas are a mix of tropical and citrus fruit, dank hops, and some pale malts. The hops continue their dominance in the mouth with earthy and floral elements, along with some guava. Malts provide some balance. It comes across as being boozier than it really is. Medium bodied. Too tropical for me.

On tap at Max’s in Baltimore. Light yellow pour with no head. Aroma is floral honey pollen. Some hops. Flavor is like a blissful kick in the teeth. Honey sweet hop bitter pollen floral. Really nice. Great beer.

Bottled (from bierkompass.de). ’kin hell what a gusher over the table, rug and couch. Or then I am an epic fail in opening Belgian beer these days. Anyhow, the beer poured a yellowish golden hazy thing, with a huge bubbly head. Aroma rather hoppy, with some yeast and also some bready and slight sweet maltyness. Flavour quite hoppy with sweet and bready malts along with some spices and yeast. Pleasant, and quite bitter for being Belgian. And yes, by writing this I have cleaned the table and saved the couch. The rug needs to wait for summer, so I can wash it properly...

bottle - hazy orange yellow beer with a huge white head. Aroma has strong citrus hoppy notes. Flavour is bitter and somehow sour. Could have a little bit more Maltiness to balance the bitterness. Lively carbonation.

[bottle] Complex aroma with sour white grape, sour banana, some floral hops, and sweet pineapple. Cloudy dark yellow under a rocky, white cover. Potent hops bitterness at first taste mellows out to an assertive, but not astringent, transcendant characteristic, masking lemony sweet malt and herbal hops. Significant ethanol flavour as well. Light to medium body, high carbonation, lasting bitterness that is too much for me.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a large white head. Rather pleasant aroma of fruit (especially apricot), yeast and hay. Taste of fruit, spices, hay, yeast, apples and detergent. Medium body with a lot of carbonation. Bitter finish.

From a bottle purchased at Ramsey Liquors in NJ, well over a year ago but kept in my fridge. Pours golden with a lot of floating particles with a huge frothy white head, very foamy. Aroma and flavor of pear, white grapes/wine, lemon, herbal hops and hay. Has a tinge of malty sweetness with the hops playing a balancing role, not IPA-bitter. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bov (12888) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 29, 2010
from crackedkettle.com - cloudy dark orange colour with a solid white foam left; nice lacework; yeasty and fruity (pear and grapefruit), spicy; juicy palate, quite full-bodied and very bitter, quite dry with an aftertaste of bitter oranges and a touch of almonds - very nice
