GilBier (75) - Dendermonde, BELGIUM - DEC 15, 2008
Fine yellow in colour with perfect lasting white head. Nose is crisp and hoppy with some hints of fresh flowers and some citrus. It also has a interesting Pilsen caracter and a dry malty taste. the 7% gives a nice rounding in the mouthfeel and the afthertaste is crisp to medium dry. A great and highly drinkable Belgian Styled hoppy beer.

Bottle into tulip. Understated yeasty, malty, mildly citric aromas. Bright, cloudy, light golden orange colour with moderate white head. Spotty lacing. Sediment swirling in the glass gently and rapidly fades into the body. Lip smackingly citrus hoppiness with notes of lemon and orange. Resinous oiliness holds together the hop complexities. Extremely drinkable with an easy, mild, very approachable mouthfeel. Delicately dry, bitter finish. Feels like drinking a fortifying fruit beverage that is healthful and rejuvenating. Like sunshine in a glass. Uniquely yummy - very nice!

De sterke hoppereuk is aanwezig. Opvallend is de zoete fruitige smaak met een toets koriander en de bekende bitterheid van Alvinne tot in de afdronk

Aroma: fruity, spice, yeasty, berry. Appearence: huge foamy white head, unflitered, translucent, golden, no carbonation. Flavor: Mundane, fruity, minimal hops, not an IPA, yeasty, citrus nosey finish. Palate: slightly watery, not biting, sliky, soft belgian, trappist like. Overall: Comes off as a soft, delicate trappist. No hops - actually would make a nice trappist but not an IPA.

On tap at ZBF 08. Hazy darkgolden ale, white head. Aroma very hoppy, fruity. Medio to full bodied. Nice good drinkable, yeast, hops, bitterness. TOP.

Pours a hazy golden amber w/a wonderful off white head that is thick, sticks around for the beer and laces the glass beautifully. To the nose it is sweet and fruity with a hint of pine. First taste is sweet with nice floral hoppiness. It’s pretty smooth all the way through and all together an excellent European IPA.

eisnoton (20) - Athens, GREECE - SEP 20, 2012
Big white head. Aroma has floral hoppy notes but very powerful. Nice carbonation. Not an IPA but a belgian style...hopped beer.

Bottle was way over carb’d and 1/2 of it shot out of the bottle upon opening like champagne. Taste was mildly malty, semi sweet with hardly any hop aroma or bitterness. The over-carbonation made it difficult to taste it. Very foamy. Disappointing and no where close to an IPA nor hopped as advertised. Lack-luster and would not purchase it again.
