11.2 oz squatty brown glass bottle. No freshness date.
Appearance: It’s a gusher! Have the glass ready! Golden with notes of light brown. Thick white head with lots of retention! Fair amount of particles.
Nose: Smells like the other Alvinne’s I’ve had. A little sweet malt, a little Euro-hops, a little yeast-spice.
Palate: Sharp edges, almost with a sour/bitter edge all the way around the mouth. Fairly clean and light on the flavors. The bitterness rules this beer. Some light fruit estery-flavors, a little herbal note, and a light asian citrus note. Finish is centered around the bitterness.
Notes: Not a great beer, I don’t think. I like the Gaspar a little better. This seems to lack some of the malt complexities that Gaspar adds to the flavors. TheShat (131) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - APR 25, 2009
Cloudy and gold with a quickly diminished head. The aroma is malty and sour. Crisp and refreshing with a slightly hoppy finish. Great for a hot day. Agaguk (122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 23, 2009
Yellow hazy appearance with a thick rocky head. Aroma: orange zest, cantaloup, banana, peppery and peaches. Flavor: tangerine, peach and pepper. Palate: thin body, lively carbonation, creamy oily with a bitter peppery finish. MuttyD (93) - Cambridge, USA - SEP 20, 2008
Amber/golden color with massive foaming white head (most of the beer ended up on the table). Flavor is bitter, flowery, sweet. Bitter and dry finish. Great beer pompelmoes (89) - BELGIUM - NOV 11, 2009
Slight hazy golden blond beer with great looking white head on top. Aroma is dry-malty with a green touch of hops and a slight citrussy bite to it. a light to medium golden-blond beer with a nice refreshing character and taste. Aftertaste is slight grassy but this beer is a good example of thirst-killing tasteful blond beer.

Fine yellow in colour with perfect lasting white head. Nose is crisp and hoppy with some hints of fresh flowers and some citrus. It also has a interesting Pilsen caracter and a dry malty taste. the 7% gives a nice rounding in the mouthfeel and the afthertaste is crisp to medium dry. A great and highly drinkable Belgian Styled hoppy beer. jcp23 (55) - Duluth, Georgia, USA - AUG 11, 2008
Bottle into tulip. Understated yeasty, malty, mildly citric aromas. Bright, cloudy, light golden orange colour with moderate white head. Spotty lacing. Sediment swirling in the glass gently and rapidly fades into the body. Lip smackingly citrus hoppiness with notes of lemon and orange. Resinous oiliness holds together the hop complexities. Extremely drinkable with an easy, mild, very approachable mouthfeel. Delicately dry, bitter finish. Feels like drinking a fortifying fruit beverage that is healthful and rejuvenating. Like sunshine in a glass. Uniquely yummy - very nice! wacho (52) - Izegem, BELGIUM - MAY 2, 2008
De sterke hoppereuk is aanwezig. Opvallend is de zoete fruitige smaak met een toets koriander en de bekende bitterheid van Alvinne tot in de afdronk ajbitt (47) - , Indiana, USA - JUN 20, 2009
Aroma: fruity, spice, yeasty, berry. Appearence: huge foamy white head, unflitered, translucent, golden, no carbonation. Flavor: Mundane, fruity, minimal hops, not an IPA, yeasty, citrus nosey finish. Palate: slightly watery, not biting, sliky, soft belgian, trappist like. Overall: Comes off as a soft, delicate trappist. No hops - actually would make a nice trappist but not an IPA. BonVoeux (40) - Beveren-Leie, BELGIUM - MAR 28, 2008
