33cl bottle, bbe 06/2014. Golden in color, thick lasting white head. Yeasty, spicy fruity aroma, funky notes as well. Flavor has yeast, barnyard, light sourness, dry mouthfeel with a hoppy fruity finish. Light bodied.
Bottle (50 cl ) expired 2013, yet no way of telling in the shop, since the price sticker was cleverly stickered over the date... Anyway. Mild gusher, that comes rather late. Pours unclear orange. Big and growing white head. the stability is rediculous. it was multiple centimeters above the border of the glass before it finaly gave up. Impressive ! Smell is very brett-forward, some malts. Taste is intense, brett, grainy. Typical classic alvinne. I don’t dislike it at all though ! Infection usually gives sourness and a bad taste, here ( IF infected ! ) it only gives a real nice brett-taste. Never had it fresh, but if fresh it was a basic bitter, i think i prefer this ! talk about an orval clone :) DSG (15035) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 26, 2016
Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Yoav. Opens with a gusher. Murky orange with an ugly soapy beige head. Infected aroma with fruitiness, funk, sulphur, yeast, and a plastic note. Dry flavor, funky, bitterish, with some fruitiness, yeast, malt, and a bitter finish, a bit harsh. Light to medium-bodied, over-carbonated. Infected. Sigmund (7759) - Tau, NORWAY - FEB 17, 2016
330 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BB date July 2014. ABV is 3.8%, 42 EBU. Hops are Pioneer, EKG, Chinook, Columbus and Amarillo. Like most beers from this brewery, the bottle is a slow gusher, and my tall glass fills completely with white foam. As the beer slowly emerges, the colour is golden. Strong sourish notes of the Alvinne house yeast. Notes of farmhouse, white wine vinegar, hay and lemons. The flavour is not as sour as expected, but there is some acidic and lemony fruitiness. Also noticeable malts and fairly distinct hops, with a medium bitter and dry finish. Alengrin (5539) - BELGIUM - AUG 18, 2014
Alvinnes interpretation of the classic English bitter style, since 2010, and as far as I know, the first English-style bitter made in Belgium. Yellowish white, creamy head, bright amber colour; nutty and caramelly aroma, earthy, carrots, tobacco, pear, some H2S (rotten egg) as well. Nutty taste, smooth and resinous but rather thin mouthfeel like the real English bitters, sharpish hoppiness in the finish but not necessarily bitter.

Gusher.. Pours hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grass, yeast, floral and a hint of brett. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with a dry, grassy, bitter and a faint hint of sourness in the finsh. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is fizzy.
Bottle: Golden to deep golden, almost clear, big - slowly collapsing - White lacy head; dryish herbal-hoppy nose with a mild yeasty Background; dry bitter flavour, pretty light bodied, as expected; slightly lingering bitter and citrus-fruity finish with a delicate yeasty aftertaste. Not bad, refreshing... Finn (7836) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2014
Flaske 0,33l på Vertshuset Skarven 29 Mai 14. Skikkelig gusher! Gir seg ikke. Gyldengul. Uklar. Veldig høyt kritthvitt skum som daler sakte. Forsiktig fruktaroma. Smaken på grensen til fjøs - men blir berget av litt fruktige innslag. Avslutter litt syrlig. På det jevne. Direkte gjørmete siste kvelling.
