750mL courtesy of Travlr. Poured a deep pink/purple with thin bubbles abounding- no real head though. Aroma is outstanding: rich cherry pie, baked sweet cherries, sour cherries. Amazing kriek nose. Taste is a little thin, tart berries, not really full sour, pretty highly carbonated on the palate. Refreshing, not too intense. Could use more time in the barrel to develop a full sourness. Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear red with a small off-white head. Dry and lactic aroma, very tart berries. Rather light in body, very tart berry fruitiness with an astringent and almost leathery finish. Leaves some tannins on the teeth. Very dry finish - fresh though. 210810

Bottled 75cl "Kerasus Bourgogne Barrel Oak Aged" (Alvinne shop, BB 02/2015)fonefan (52426) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2010
Hazy nut brown-reddish color, small off-white head. Sour fruity nose, tart fruityness probably from red grapes (Burgundy) together with sour cherries. Red wine is really evident in the flavor, red grapes and cherries mixed with sourness in nice balance. Very wineous with hints of vanilla. Lingering tart fruityness in the aftertaste. One of the best red wine barrel aged beers I’ve tasted.

Bottle 750ml. @ home.
Clear medium to dark red color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, berry - fruity, moderate cherry, wood - oak and bourgogne. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate acidic berries with a average to long duration, dry and tart, cherries. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Poured a dark red with a light pink head. Aroma was light but wonderfully pleasant, with notes of cherry, wood, and a sugary sweetness, perhaps marzipan. Flavor had added a subtle funkiness to the cherry component, with more vanilla and wood. Palate was light and crisp-- a really refreshing kriek. Not earth-shattering, but yummy. A little hazy red colored beer, with a little head. The aroma of a lot of fruits, cherries, nice sourness with wood notes. The taste of cherries with vanilla, wood and sour. The aftertaste is sour with a little bitter and dry sweet. madmitch76 (26467) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2010
5th March 2010. Pre ZBF. Cloudy dark red beer. Some sour cherry on the nose. Sharpiish dry palate. Refreshing tartness without getting puckery. The cherry is there but not overwhelming - just a nice crisp prescense. Very refreshing beer.
