Cloudy red with a small white head. Aroma of cherries mostly, with funk, and a bit of oak and coconut. Dry and tart cherry flavour with bretty funk mostly. A bit thin mouthfeel, but delicious beer

Bottle from bierkompass.de. Reddish brown color. Cherry juice and a hint of oak in the aroma. Sourish vinous flavor with vanilla, cherry juice, marzipan. Low on carbon. Very pleasant, tastes a bit like a very old sweetened kriek lambic.

(750ml bottle, BB Feb 2015) Pours a murky dirty blood red body with a spare off-white head. Aroma of cherry, yogurt, vinous, barnyard, red currants, wet leather, and wood. Flavor of cherry, Bourgogne tannins, earth, and lacto with a dry wood finish. Excellent.

Bottle, bought @ Alvinne Beershop.
Pours an absolutely lovely, clear, deep ruby red. Small, rather fizzy, off-white pink head. Stays as a thin rim round the edges. Nice sweet fruity aroma, lots of oak, some mild red wine tannins, vanilla. High carbonation, light watery palate. Flavour is mildly dry, somewhat dull at first, then good tartness, fine oaky presence. There are grapes, little tannins, some good cherries. Light marzipan, some vanilla. Quite decent actually, compared to how much sweetness there is in the original version. Nice.

Draught. Red coloured. Unclear. Dense reddish head. Berries, sweetness, light citrus and some wood/barral. Flaovur as well full of berries and dry fruits. Citric and sourish with a light marzipany touch. Medium bodied. Grapy and sourish end. Dont think the bourgogne barral does a lot for the beer.

Had this at Pre ZBF 5th March 2010 Pours wonderful red colour with good clarity. This is quite a lovely beer in terms of aroma (sweeter than expected) though sour cherries are leaping up the nostrils. In the mouth this is sour, woody and with clear wine enhanced characteristics, dry at the end, little puckering in the mouth, good tangy stuff. A8 A3 F7 P4 Ov15 3.7

750mL courtesy of Travlr. Poured a deep pink/purple with thin bubbles abounding- no real head though. Aroma is outstanding: rich cherry pie, baked sweet cherries, sour cherries. Amazing kriek nose. Taste is a little thin, tart berries, not really full sour, pretty highly carbonated on the palate. Refreshing, not too intense. Could use more time in the barrel to develop a full sourness.

Bouteille 75cl, 63/250, lot 391, bb fev 2015. Couleur rougetre/rubis, mousse beige.
