Bottled. Aroma has a tart cherry punch, plywood, a speck of cinnamon. Some brussels sprouts after swirling. Unassertive. Mouthfeel is super dry, bordering on astringency at points, with a lot of nice oak character. Mildly acidic, with a long cherry finish. Lacking in body.

NikkTwist (3225) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 21, 2012
Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Hazy cherry color with a thin bubbly head. Unfiltered cherry flavor. Very sour, but nicely so. Rich cherry pulp. Slight flemish funk but mostly a clean sour. Had from the same barrel twice and has gotten more complex and sour with age.

Trade from Madmitch, thanks. 2009 vintage. Hazy red body with a small light red head. Aroma is sourish, berries wood. Flavor is dusty, dry, cherries and oak. Very drinkable.

Max’s as 2008 oak kerasus. Tart cherries and caramel, light cognac in the nose. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly tart, some cherry/berry, some toffee, some apple pie.

A little hazy red colored beer, with a little head. The aroma of a lot of fruits, cherries, nice sourness with wood notes. The taste of cherries with vanilla, wood and sour. The aftertaste is sour with a little bitter and dry sweet.

wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 12, 2015
Tasted on 12/1/12 from a bottle. Pours cloudy deep brick amber with a thin pink head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is funky cherry with cinnamon oak and a dry vinous note. The flavor is nicely sour with all of the tart cherry, funk, dry wine, and cinnamon oak from the nose. The body is medium and tannic with just lighter than average carbonation and a long sour cherry and vinous oaky and tannic finish.

GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 5, 2013
Ruby brown with a small pale head. Aroma is barnyard funk, horse blanket, dark fruit. Funky and sour on the palate, thick mouthfeel, good balance. Taste is cranberry, red wine, red currants, sour cherry. Tasty.

Poured a dark red with a light pink head. Aroma was light but wonderfully pleasant, with notes of cherry, wood, and a sugary sweetness, perhaps marzipan. Flavor had added a subtle funkiness to the cherry component, with more vanilla and wood. Palate was light and crisp-- a really refreshing kriek. Not earth-shattering, but yummy.

Draft. Pour is a light amber/copper with a small off-white head, decent retention. Aroma is oak, sour cherries, brown sugar, something tart. Flavor is really nice, soft sourness with oak and cherries. Palate is sour, soft carbonation, light body/low alcohol.
