On tap at Churchkey yesterday. Served in a mini snifter. Pours ruby with almost no head. Theres a strong note of cherry and a bit light oak. Faint lactic acid there as well, though this gets quite a bit stronger in the flavor. Moderate cherry in the flavor. Light body and some moderate carbonation. Tart cherry and dryness in the finish. Quite tasty.

My bottle [330ml] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus. 2009 vintage. Pours a murky copper-red with pink hues and an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma of sour cherries, light spices, some wood, citrus and vanilla. Flavours quite tart along with light spices, slightly sour cherries, some sweetness and wood. Average bodied. Pretty good, I quite enjoyed it.

A: The beer pours a murky amber/red color with a small off-white head. S: An interesting blend of cherry pie and raspberry. Theres a bit of vinegar and lemony tartness. A mild malt aroma and sweetness, perhaps some oak and grass, too. T: Sweet cherry pie and vinegar flavors dominate this one. Its a very simple beer, but very sour. There is also a fair bit of lemon and perhaps some light raspberry notes to it. M: Medium in body with low to medium carbonation. O: Very sour and acetic, but overall pretty nice.

On tap at Churchkey. Cloudy burgundy pour. Nose holds BIG balsamic vinegar, tart plums, slight almond sweetness, lots of dark fruit, and vinous notes. Flavor holds big tannin, wine, and even a touch of roast in there? Very tart and quite sour. I like it.

Thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: Ruby red, cloudy, tiny white head. Aroma: Funky, sour, some blue cheese notes too, cherry, tart. Flavour: Very tart, sour, under-ripe cherries, sweet with a good long sour finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Hazy deep ruby, smallish frothy white head. Aroma of cherry, lemon, yeast ... simple, sour, nice. Taste - more cherry, less sour, not too sweet, a bit light, not much alcohol. Watery, lightly acidic and carbonated, fairly quick finish - smells pretty sour, disappoints a wee bit in the tasting.

Bottle, 2009 Vintage. Exploded everywhere on opening, lively beer. Murky burgundy colour. Nose is mainly lively cherry, some wood and damp straw. Little bit of funk. Touch of salty barrel. Mouth is sweet cherry at first, tart on the front, sweet in the middle, vanilla touch, maybe a lactic edge, then sour tartness at the back. lasting sweet vanilla on the tip, with a kind of sour fizzy RGC back. Not sure what this beer is trying to be, if the cherry overwhelms it, or the cherry is it. Tasty beer though.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2011 Dark red colour, almost like a bourgogne. Slightly hazy, with a fast disappearing pinkish white head. Aroma very much of sour cherries. Some light almond / cherry pips. Light vanilla. Flavour is delicate and light. Sour cherries. Hint of sweet. Bit oily texture.
Reminding of the sour cherry (krieken) sauce that is quite common in Belgium, and spot on how I like this sauce (tart and with background of the cherry pips). But Kerasus just lacks any pronounced flavour of beer or lambic. Very enjoyable nontheless.
