Mørk rødbrun med lavt beige skum. Lukter sure kirsebær, vanilje og trevirke. Smaker sure kirsebær, fatlagringen kommer godt fram, noe portvinfølelse, sure bær hele veien.

Keg at MK BG, 08/06/17. Rich claret red with a decent crimson cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is stoned fruits, dried cherry skins, tarte berry must. Taste comprises soured berries, damp hay, wood must, aged oak, acidic bite but restrained. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light acidic throat scrape at the curtain call. Decent sour ... moderate complexity .... drinks below the ABV.

jjsint (3000) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2017
Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Consumed at home. Pours a dark purplish red with a big khaki/pink head. Lots of visible sediment. It smells of red wine, chocolate and vinegar with pain pronounced woody notes. Sourness at first in the sip followed by a naked sweetness, with a long acidic finish. Sour cherry and brown sauce in the aftertaste. Doesn’t hide the booze well but still pretty brilliant.

330ml bottle. Hazy, brownish, reddish colour. No head. Plums, cherries, sourness, notes of some spices in the aroma. Cherries, sourness at first. Notes of white wine, sweetness in the middle. Notes of berries and sourness in the end. Quite dry finis. Notes of white wine and berries in the aftertaste. Rather light bodied, low carbonated, descent brew.

A very nice kriek with a very nice sour aroma and flavour profile. Aroma has intense sour cherries, little sweetness, balanced. Flavour is similar, relatively bitter for a kriek, intense cherries, little sweetness, some amaretti bitterness. Very nice!

Piana minimalna, szybko opada do firanki. Barwa miedziana, opalizująca. W aromacie czuć wiśnie, czerwone wino, starą beczkę, ale i rodzynki, karmel, śliwki a nawet odrobinę wanilii... Smak kwaskowy, wiśniowo winny, taniczny, jednocześnie słodowy, pełny, quadruplowy, z dzikim, cierpkim, mineralnym finiszem. Wysycenie niskie, alkohol lekko rozgrzewający, minimalna ziołowa goryczka.
Ciekawe połączenie, wyszło coś pomiędzy kriekiem i ciemnym belgiem, z wyraźną dominacja tego pierwszego, z intensywnymi akcentami beczki i dzikich drożdży.
