Very "barnyard" this one: appearance cloudy straw-coloured. Was a bit gushing but without a big head only small one but persistent like a honey badger (the ideal head to my taste). Aroma very nice: fruity (grapefruit) hops, a bit floral. Taste fruity hops, yeast, bread and quite strong for such a low abv. Bitterness only present in the aftertaste: lingering, pleasant. Not a very diverse but very refreshing summer brew. Mouthfeel surprisingly thick.

Bottle, bb 10/17. Clear gold with an inch of white head that never quite disappears. Plenty of gunge is easily left in the bottle. Powerful marmalade aroma with some tropical fruit and toast. Right at the bottom there is funk. The taste starts there and adds damp hay and bretty spices to go with bitter oranges. Slightly sweet with a brooding sour and funky rumble. Finish is dry and really rather bitter. I think many people would be surprised if they ordered a bitter and got this. Assertive and good.

M: Leuke, stevige carbonatie.

Lore (2747) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 7, 2016
hazy yellow colour, medium sized, not too stable off-white head; aroma of tropical fruits like mango, maybe some pineapple, too, peach, lemony and floral notes as well as hints of sauerkraut; taste is bittersweet with intensive fruitiness like in the aroma, some biscuits and hints of sauerkraut again; very good, easy to dring bitter!

Pours gold with a fading head. Nose shows heavy funk, soft peach, faint floral notes. Flavours include more funk, horseblanket, leather, a bit musty. A hint of lemon too.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Cloudy yellow-white with a thin white head. It has a tart lemon, citrus and herbal flavour followed by yeast and more tart fruit on the smooth finish. Pretty good.
