Taste is dry and slightly harsh burnt, weeds, oak, bark, minerals, whiskey, grass, burnt caramel, paper, dark malts. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.
dense beige fades with foamhead. darkred-brown colour. aroma is vinous like red wine, wood, boozy, bourbon, vanilla, red fruits, bit peppery. taste like aroma, wood, wry with a bitter-peppery-boozy finish. medium body and carbonation. M-A-S-S-I-V-E G-U-S-H-E-R, as expected from these guys (these batches?). almost spoiled my whole dinner when opening this at the dinner table, luckily still had a quick reaction time to instead spoil the floor, great way to start. despite all of this, the beer is still quite ok, but for the premium price they ask for this, it is really not ok. bottle 50cl / bbf nov-2017 hackobock (4073) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2015

Where: Struise Bruges, had at a tasting 2015-04-18.
Appearance: Black colour with a beige head. Huge gushing, had to place it in a bowl for it to not flood the entire table.
Aroma: Bourbon, liquorice, caramel, alcohol.
Body: Full body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Liquorice, bourbon, some vanilla, alcohol, some chocolate.
Very interesting beer, nice full flavor, soureness is perfectly in balance here. The bourbon/booze is maybe a little overwhelming but this is nonetheless, a great beer. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2015
Bottle shared with BBGTC. Pours a dark brown producing a medium tan head. Aroma is slightly sour with hints of roast, leather and balsamico. Taste has alot of the same elements. Lightly sour with wood, roasted grains and a whiff of alcohol. Medium body and just above avg co2 levels. ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2015
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a black body with a large creamy light beige head. Aroma is spicy herbs, wood, minerals, cinnamon, cardamum, hints of bourbon, booze and honey. Taste is charcoal, minerals, chocolate, raisins, mild sour notes, dark berries, hints of wood, minerals and grains. Medium body, high carbonation. Not bad, loads of complexity in taste and a rather pleasant output all in all, but not amazing in any way. LomYst (925) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2015
