Oef. Een soort hoestdrank. Erg zwaar, en mijns inziens te zwaar. Vol zoet en havy.

6th Feb 2015: shared bottle in De Bierboom (Brugge). Not really my thing, but this didnt cause me any undue problems. Chili in beer? No thank you. Beer in a chili? No thank you. Dark brown body, almost black, the head a mid-brown affair. Dark malts give the nose a coffee feel, with a chili overtone that carries on into the taste. Semi-sweet molasses fight with the chili flavours to produce a beer that was OK, not sure what the Bourbon Barrel aging did: mellowed the chili maybe?

0,5 l Bottle: (close to a gusher, it does want to go up but quite slow in my case.) Appearance: Black body with a medium sized brown foamy head. Aroma: Barley malts, tobacco, vanilla, some herbal tones, spices, oak, wet wood and some chalk. Taste: Starts sweetish with coatmeal, hocolate malts, toffee , caramel malts, wine, red fruit,. Then slowy wooden tones vegetables and the peppers start to lcome in faintly. Finishing off with more roasted tones and the wood yeast and the peppers being more noticeable. Aftertaste is a mix of with light burning peppers, roasted bitters, wood and barley malts. Full body, Low carbo, creamy texture,

Alvinne. Bottle. Almost a gusher but not quite. Extremely dark brown color, massive brown head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, pepper flesh, vanilla. Taste is dark black coffee, dark bitter cocoa, subtle heat and just a touch of sweet booze towards the finish. Not bad.
