Alvinne. Bottle. Almost a gusher but not quite. Extremely dark brown color, massive brown head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, pepper flesh, vanilla. Taste is dark black coffee, dark bitter cocoa, subtle heat and just a touch of sweet booze towards the finish. Not bad. BertVDS (10) - - AUG 19, 2014
heerlijk pittig biertje, met chocolade en koffietoets. Aanwezig pittige chilismaak. tricksta_p (4645) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - AUG 16, 2014
Aroma of roasted malts, oak, dark chocolate, coffee, chili pepers. Flavour is roasty and medium sweet with a nice chili bite in the finish, as well as some booziness. I’m still looking for a Chili beer that knocks my socks off, but this was a good one. weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2014
The night I slept at the Alvinne brewery. Madness. Cheers Glen, cheers MesandSim. Poured a dark brown, medium tan head. Aroma is mild chilli, bourbon, woody notes, toffee sweetness. Flavour is smooth and woody, chilli really grows in the finish. Obviously very me, I loved this stuff. Fantastic beer. And I was very very drunk.

Little cloudy very dark brown to black beer, aery beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: quite some vanilla, sourish, vinegar, bit dirty. MF: quite some carbon, medium body. Taste: little bitter in the start, mocha, sourish, tastes infected :(, bit sweet, some caramel, also vanilla. Aftertaste: unpleasant sourness, soft bitterness, chilli heat, little bitter, bit dirty, some mocha. Quite disappointed in this one...

Bottle: served in a Palm snifter:
Medium sized brown foamy head on top of a black colored beer.
Aromas of white wine, oak, wet wood, some mint, barley malt roast, tobacco, spices, some cream, liquorice wood, wood roast and some chalk.
Flavours of spices, roast, wood, wood roast, bitters, malt roast, pepper, some cloves, light vinous, bay leaf, some oak, light oatmeal, lighter dry, liquorice wood, some yeast an dusty pepper. Nice!
Aftertaste is a mix of spices, pepper, bitters, roast, wood and barley malts.
Low carbo, bit blown creamy mouthfeel, full bodied and a creamy texture.
Nice balanced pepper, like it. But the wood part is a bit strange, wet wood ish... But not that bad!
