Mye smak av whiskey. Denne er nok et godt valg for whiskey og ølelskere men inne noe for meg.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Dark golden color, good foam- small bubbles. Immediate aromas of wood, caramel, bourbon- ok fruitiness.
Medium/ full body & high complexity.
Some bitterness, also sweetness- but impressive balance. Very enjoyable JefVerstraete (3359) - Oosterzele, BELGIUM - FEB 10, 2013
Hazy copper amber colour, small white head. Medium carbonation. Very tasty and heavy beer. Aroma of fruit, malts, honey, sugar candy, oak and a shot of whisky. Well balanced, not easy drinkable. Warm alcoholic finish. Sweet with dry bitter finish. Balanced beer. esp0r (2921) - NORWAY - JAN 27, 2013
Bottle from Vika enjoyed at homenilsas (4124) - Bryne, NORWAY - JAN 9, 2013
Dark copper, big tanned head - amazingly big for a beer with this high ABV. Smells of oak, hints of funk, bourbon, malts and booze. Heavy sweet, caramel, vanilla and bourbon, quite warming and boozy, dry mouthfeel an a oaky tendensy. Low bitterness. This is quite a successful oak experience. I love how the bourbon and oak is integrated in this one
Full av smak både i munnen og god ettersmak. En øl jeg vil anbefale å prøve. Noe kulsyre.

Bottle, shared by OleR. A big, dense, off-white head sits on top of a clear, amber colored body. The aroma has some notes of alcohol, not much considering the ABV, with a touch of bourbon, but not much vanilla. There’s also piney hops, fruityness and a light caramel maltyness. A bit heavy on the carbonation, it’s full-bodied, semi-sweet and lightly warming on the palate. Bitter flavor with some sweetness as well as pine cones, resins and caramel. Lasting finish. A really nice one, well worth a revisit. 121201 stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 19, 2012
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours a hazy and dark copper beer with a weak white head. The aroma is weak with malt, caramel, bread, fruit and berries. The flavor follows the nose with additional alcohol. The palate is sweetness with alcoholwarmth. Overall an average beer. spkevin (434) - Doetinchem, NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2012
Beer #6 at BBF12. Wow. This is a strong one. Interesting Barley Wine. Wood and vanilla notes. Lots of bourbon hints. Bitter, spicey. Weird hints. Very interesting. Makes me want to try the original Melchior. Leighton (21258) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2012
On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours moderately hazy caramel-gold with a fine, white cream head. Sugary malt aroma with punches of honey and toffee. Big sweet flavor with honey, toffee, apples, light alcohol, fruitcake. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with mild warmth, sticky sugars, mellow dry wood, ripe apple, rich bread. Quite well rounded and not too cloying. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 2, 2012
On tap @ Borefts 2012. The last beer @ Borefts 2012. Random that it’s this one really. It has a lovely glowing plum-red colored one with a small bubbly just off-white top. On the nose it’s sweet and caramel fruity. Strong frozen and concentrated strawberries with some cherries-like fruitiness. Quite nice. Strong and some what, no make that really warming! Oh! Boozy-strong with loads of alcohol! Al$ost burning my throat swallowing this. Light fruity as well with a soft lemonade hint. To boozy and warming to really enjoy. 30.09.2012
