Taste at PilsnerPeter’s 2nd Annual Gatheringj12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2010
Golden, wispy white head. Nose of thin lemon, fruit, alcohol, off notes of sauerkraut. Flavor is similar, more bitterness though the finish and lightly tart cherry backed by some oxidation. Not bad, but never really comes together, and overall, quite messy.
Bottle at Peter’s 2nd annual spring gathering. Pours a hazy orange gold with a thin white head. Light musky funk, slightly sweet. Fruity and sweet, nice wheat notes. Medium bodied and smooth. Light fruit on the finish. italarican (1606) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 17, 2010
Bottle at Peter’s RBSG. Pours a cloudy pineapple orange, headless. Aroma is bubblegum, cat piss, and lemon. Fortunately, there’s no cat piss in my mouth: flavor of lemon, bubblegum, and apple cider. Some spice in the finish. Some good qualities mixed with some overdone yeast. jtclockwork (17654) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2010

Eye: amber - slightly ruby red
Nose: Gentle yet full bodied impression in the nose (due to alcohol?). Nice tint of wood, with nice and warm wood hints
Mouth: a full and warm beginning, sweet in the mid-bridge , gentle bitter at the end - alcohol is present all the way SaintMatty (7612) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2010
750ml Bottle - Hazy dark golden colour. Fruity aroma with dried peach, fruity malt and apricot. Sweet and fruity taste with apricot, toffee, dried fruit and a moderate bitterness. Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - JAN 21, 2010
A clear golden/amber colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is fruity and malty, winery. some sweet. The taste of wood with fruits, like grapes with alcohol. The aftertaste is bittersweet with hints of alcohol. Travlr (26430) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 23, 2009
Bottle poured by Glenn at the brewery - thanks Glenn!
Bright orange color with a slight rim of bubbles and moderate lacing.
Aroma of light bourbon, caramel and butterscotch.
Flavor begins on the sour side, then progresses to orange peel and coriander. Bourbon taste is subtle, mostly near the finish.
Nicely complex, and decent body, better than the non-oak version.
Very nice indeed. We had the last bourbon bottle, sorry!! NoiZe (2394) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - DEC 5, 2009
Tasted at the first, great, Borefts Beer Festival 2009 @ De Molen. Amber colored brew. Very nice aroma of bourgogne wine. Flavor has got the vinous tones too, some sweetness, fruits and a bit oaky. Nice.
