Bottle @ Pre-ZBF, Alvinne. A hazy yellow/golden colored beer, with a little white head. The aroma is fresh, fruity, a little alcohol. Notes of wood. TRhe taste of wood with fruits like citrus and orange, some sweetness with notes of bitter. The aftertaste is a little sweet with bitter.

[email protected] Complex aroma with loads of apple but also wood en spices. Light hazy, dark yellow colour, small off-white head, good lace. Sweet, sourish, light bitter, apples, lightly spiced. Soft mouth feel. Complex and very interesting.

[email protected] Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is very sweet fruity, some alcohol as well as some yeasty notes. Flavour is fruity, a bit alcoholic and wooden notes. A really pleasant thing. Wellbalanced. Once it warms up the wooden and a bit stinging alcoholic notes gets strong. Still the alcohol suits the beer very well. Excellent!

A Mes rate. Bottle from Alvinne but drunk with our Weasel over at his.
A murky orange blonde colour with a thin white head. Lovely aroma. Calvados a plenty with some good barrelly notes, slight spice and cinnamon plus an awesome sugary hit too. Excellent! The flavour follows on in an equally rich form. Big boozy hits work unusually well. Glorious sweet and sour finish. Bloody lovely.

dasilky1 tasting my bottle from a long ago international trade. Pours orangey with a tan ring. Nose is sweet with apple and oak. Taste is oaky, with sweet apple, very nice calvados barreled brew.

Bottle. A hazy medium to dark golden beer iwth a large, rocky, fully lasting white head. Nicely sour aroma, moderately malty and with notes of oak, apples, Calvados, roasted grains, flowers, alcohol and spices. The flavour is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Calvados is evident, but the balance is fairly good. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness, moderately alcoholic. Slightly better than the regular Melchior, normally I’m not a fanatic of barrel aging, but this time was very well done.

Clear golden honey color with a fizzy white head. Floral fruit and subtle cognac aroma. Slightly sticky citric palate. Tastes of pear and orange up front followed by mustard seed and ending with a sweet cognac finish.
