It floods out of the bottle upon opening. It’s dark golden with a lot of yeast sediment in flakies and a huge and quickly vanishing head. The aroma has notes of dark fruits, caramel, toffee, plum, light bubble gum, vanilla and malt. The sweet flavor also has a light harshness/bitterness and notes pretty much like the aroma with addition of apple. The finish is harsh and slightly bitter. jaghana (6362) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle 37.5 from Henrik thanks, an amber orange beer without head, got gushing. Nose is champagne like with sour notes. Aroma is astringent on sour notes and wood, quite bitter brett touch, vinous, dry, moist, dry fruits, grapefruit. Bit aggressive strange to me. Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - FEB 5, 2012
A clear amber/golden colored beer, with a thick off white head. The aroma has some small hints of sour, with wood notes and fruit. The taste is also some sour, wood, fresh fruits some sweet with bitter. The aftertaste is bitter with some sweet.

Sampled at a festival, don’t remember which (old rating). Slightly hazy amber colored. Not the best smell, sourness, alcohol and some caramel. Taste wood, hints of sour and lightly bitter. Soft mouthfeel for 11%ABV.

375mL courtesy of madmitch76. We put this in the freezer for a while after reading about some volcanic un-capping experiences. That seemed to work. It pours totally opaque grapefruit juice with thin white head. The aroma is fruity, fun thin tartness, some sweet boozy spicy rye like booze and some barrel notes. The taste begins a bit tart and a bit spicy with rye and then moving into apricot and citrus hops that seem to get a touch acidic. It then brings up additional notes of earthy and floral hop into the finish. dcschiller (2211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 23, 2011
(Bottle shared at Dak’s 5000 tasting). Pours a hazy apricot color with thin white head. Aroma has cheese, wood and some fruit. Taste is sweet with some fruit notes and there is a bit of bitterness. Somewhat hot still. Medium bodied with an oily texture. Finish has noticeable alcohol. Nice beer. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 20, 2011
Murky caramel pour, creamy white head. Aroma is funky, dry, light honey, fruit. Flavor is loaded with honeycomb flavors, dry basement notes, funk. Good stuff! bluebetty (1021) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 9, 2011
Bottle thanks to Rohan. Had two bottles as part of a tasting and both gushed. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with small beige coloured head. Big apple juice aromas, a little sourness and a touch of funk. A little odd. Flavours are very apple cidery with only a touch of the barrel coming through. Lively carbonation.

: A: huge gusher, luckily I anticipate this and opened it in the sink but I still lost a huge part of my bottle, lovely hazy amber with an orange hue, lots of indefinable sediment and white head, S: smells sweet with very fruity & sweet malt, some caramel, lots of flower, followed by alcohol, T: the Mackmyra bourbon flavour is pretty nice on this one, full, very smooth, fruity & slightly sweet, mixed with lots of bitter grapefruit, slight sour lemon aftertaste, otherwise, some fruits, nectar, flowers, hint of wood, followed by alcohol burn, liking the Mackmyra aging, I wouldn’t call this subtle but I am quite liking it, B: surprisingly lots of carbonation & lighter than I expected
