Hazy amber, big minus for gushing. Aroma: spices, hay, red apple (not aldehyde), yeast, orange, some sour notes. Heavy sweetness, heavy bitterness. Flavour is fruity with lots of spices. Bit alcoholic, but for 11% it’s quite all right. Stuu666 (13367) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 19, 2016

Barley wine-like. Amber, minimal head. a bit gushing out f the bottle. Aroma has malts. It’s more bitter than mlts. Not that balanced. Alcohol hidden. Fair one. Borup (14460) - Albertslund, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2016

Bottle, pours hazy copper with a white head. Very complex brew, candy, berries, overripe grapes, pepper, currants, toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, dates. Quite boozy, feels like a barley wine with saison yeast. Interesting and very nice. artemb (988) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - JAN 23, 2016
Look: cloudy amber with yeast particles and big white head.
Aroma: wild, malty, toffee, with many spicy ethers.
Taste: sweet with fruity sourness and some astrigency.
Flavour: grape peel, wild yeast, rotten fruits, blue cheese, some spicy hops.
Good and strange. Nische (2224) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 26, 2015
Bottle from Beergium. Pours hazy amber with massive white head that disappears quickly. Malty aroma with some spices, citrus and yeast. Lightly boozy and malty taste with caramel, spices and some red berries. Lightly bitter, long finish. StoutHead (965) - DENMARK - DEC 25, 2015
Bottle. Pours a hazy amber colour with a HUGE head. Seriously - give this beer an ID...it’s alive. BIG bubbly head and impossible to pour in one go, but the head dissappears into nothing in a minute. Lots of yeast sediment. Aroma of malt, fruits and spices. Taste is of malts, caramel, lots of fruits and spicy as hell. Bitter finish. Super complex but a bit too boozy mouthfeel. A bit unbalanced but tastes rather well. 77ships (9774) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 21, 2015
Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. After nearly 80 Alvinne beers, I finally get around to trying this one. Deep amber, tanned head. Nose is carries odd sweet vinous qualities, lightly sour but with lots of candy, very sweet malts, spices, thick yeast. Taste is sweet candy with spoiled yeast, conflicting flavors, spices, candy, thick malts, spices, moldy old fruit,… A bit fizzy. Weird, conflicting but enjoyable. As for the odd vinous qualities I am pointing my finger at Morpheus yeast. I prefer this one as a base beer for Barrel Aging experiments. Still interesting, like a Belgian trying to become a vintage Barley wine of sorts.
