Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. After nearly 80 Alvinne beers, I finally get around to trying this one. Deep amber, tanned head. Nose is carries odd sweet vinous qualities, lightly sour but with lots of candy, very sweet malts, spices, thick yeast. Taste is sweet candy with spoiled yeast, conflicting flavors, spices, candy, thick malts, spices, moldy old fruit,… A bit fizzy. Weird, conflicting but enjoyable. As for the odd vinous qualities I am pointing my finger at Morpheus yeast. I prefer this one as a base beer for Barrel Aging experiments. Still interesting, like a Belgian trying to become a vintage Barley wine of sorts. Ysok02 (1763) - Mons, BELGIUM - DEC 20, 2015
bottle sample during xmas festival. poured a hazy light brown colour with an off head. notes of alvinne yeast, dried fruits, candy sugar, and spice yeast. dried apricots, earthy plums. bit to alcoholic. medium mouthfeel Gurthnar (6173) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 23, 2015
Bottle at 100 piv. Quite boozy. Alcohol comes out unpleasantly and the beer does not have the classic Belgian finnesse which would hide it in plethora of flavours. This seems rather simple in comparison. There are dried fruits, burnt sugar and some spicy yeastiness, but ethanol takes the shine. Meh. Poorly drinkable though not entirely bad. Bottle. Sensoric. Reddish with big, light brown head. Very big gashing, beer almost exploaded from the bottle. grain, yeasty and fruity aroma. Quite noticable funky notes. Medium bitterness broken by sweet malty and grainy character. Medium to full body, sticky texture, finish is sweet with noticable ABV. Gruizzy (2) - - OCT 20, 2015 does not count
Bière assez amère, totalement opaque, beaucoup de dépôt, très épaisse, bref pas très fan

Dark blond with unstable white head. Yeast, spices, bitterness, some sweetness, small funkiness, dry ending. Lacho (108) - USA - AUG 15, 2015
Have never had a beer with so much foam, took me several minutes to pour the beer to my tulip glass. Not a very distinctive aroma, with a burnt caramel color. Very bitter taste, with alcohol up front, malty, toasty, still with the alcohol.
