bottle at the Pre-ZBF pours dark brown with a thin off white head. Fruit and dark roasted malt aroma with some bakers chocolate notes. Taste is nice and creamy with some dark fruit and coffee notes, the alcohol is very well hidden. A light smokiness in the finish. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - APR 9, 2009
75cl, new exclusive brew Anno 2009, from De Hopduvel Gent, very complex Stout, not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, good head, very good brew, but very expensive omhper (25372) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2009
Bottled at PBF. Dark brown, brief head. Salty crabverry aroma. Full bodied abnd quite tart. Cookie malt lies as a foundation where red berries clings to coffee and salt on top of it. Significant late herbal bitterness. A highly interersting beer, far outside the mainstream of barrel aged imperial stouts. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2009
Gift from one of my girlfriends friends on her trip to belgium. Dark brown pour with a light fizzy head that settles into a white halo. Aroma of light oak, vanilla, some caramel and chocolate. Taste of cranberries, caramel and chocolate malt, oak, Lightly tart and salty. Medium bodied and decently carbonated. This unlike any imperial stout I’ve had in america. Absolutely awesome, though.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear reddish brown with a light brown head. Distinct oak in the nose. Quite full-bodied, sweet dried fruit and a pleasant vinous sourness. Soft mouthfeel and a warming alcoholic finish. Very delicious. 220809 beernbourbon (1596) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - SEP 26, 2009
Bottle. Pour is cloudy brown with an enormous brown head. This bottle elected itself for consumption. I got it home form the store and heard a steady hiss coming from my bottle haul; it was this one leaking. Gusher anyway. Aroma is roasted malt, tannins, light sourness, faint alcohol, light wood, and red wine. Flavor is wine, alcohol, light sourness, fruits, and light acidity. I just had a glass of wine and this really is wonderful after that. Very smooth and balanced. Like wine, only much better. sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - MAR 7, 2010

Bottle at tasting. Pitch black pour, creamy tan head that leaves lacing. Aroma of leather, bourbon, pineapple, apple, vanilla, oak, butter and caramel. Flavor of buttery bitterness, some fruity sweetness, leather, bourbon, oak, wine, vanilla and more barrel artefacts make this quite a full flavored brew. Creamy texture and medium carbonation. Nice brew.
