On tap at Haand Festival. An unclear amber to brown colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head leaving some curtains. Cherry, caramel, cellar, wood and funk in the aroma, dark dried fruits too. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and sweetish, with a pleasant bitterness. Cherry, leather, cellar, wood and funk, with caramel and dried fruits, leading to a lasting cherry and wood dominated finish. Not a beer to enjoy at a festival, even though I did, it’s a beer for a more relaxed situation. A beer to sip slowly. 160528

Bottle, pours slightly hazy reddish brown with almost immediately falling white head. Strong aroma of oak, red wine, caramel and a lot of red fruits. Very weineish in taste with some fruity sweetness and light sourness. Very nice.

Lore (2904) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 25, 2016
hazy brown colour, practically no heat, just some off-white lacing; aroma of cherry, woody and earthy notes, some wine cellar and red wine; taste is the same with mild vinegar, tannins and tart notes; good Belgian strong (sour???) ale

Wysycenie niskie, drobne.
Bardzo nietypowe Belgian Strong Ale, bliższe czerwonym winom niż piwu. Długie leżakowanie w beczce po Bordeaux i dodatek wiśni dodały kwaskowatości, tanin i zmieniły to słodko estrowe przecież piwo w trunek z pogranicza Krieka, Flanders Red Ale...

Bill Becker (1809) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - JUL 21, 2016
This pours a fairly clear deep amber with an inch of foam. Smells of fruity, woody sour notes with a hint of Brett. Fruity sour taste with some wood, Very small suggestion of Brett but I could be imagining that. All around, smooth, tasty, easy to drink for 11% abv. And, it was not a gusher. This is worthy of a repurchase.

Cunningham (8412) - Halden, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2016
Nice hazy/unclear amber color with a thin head. Nice intensity in the aroma. Full body and a soft carbonation. Very balanced sourness/acidity/sweetness. Oily texture. Fruity, vinegar, barnyard and vinous. Very well masked alcohol.
[On tap at Haand16 in Drammen, Norway]

Bottle at the 2015 Beer&Boardgames in the woods session with esp0r & simonsen. Red amber body with a tiny white head. Aroma is heavy on cherries with oak and tropical fruit. Taste is tart with berries, red wine finish, light sweetness throughout, very well hidden alcohol - bottle said 11%, not 10%. A great beer from Alvinne

Keg at ushers. Pours deep reddish amber, nose is funky, oak, cherry, taste is similar, chewy toffee, vanilla.
